16I wanted to support a local business but this was very overpriced. And they don't let you use their a toilet.
OMG. The hottest coffee I've ever had! It might be cool enough to drink by the time we get to Launceston
A wonderfully delightful cafe with excellent coffee and delectable cakes. Wonderful lady who owns the business.
What gem of a cafe!
The lady who owns the place is so rude! Went in, we were the only people here, we tried to move 2 tables together and were immediately told off. Very nasty
This place is bursting with character from the old building to the owner! But be warned, know what you want or you may get a scolding! I’ll make it simple for you.
Sausage rolls are made by the owner and are really good DO NOT MISS THEM.
Juice is freshly squeezed so go that!
Cakes and pastries come from Hobart and are delicious so there is dessert done!
She is a lovely lady but doesn’t take rubbish from people! If you’re a sensitive soul probably best to avoid if you enjoy character and a chat ENJOY!
This place needs a bit more care by the owner if she wants people to come back. Flies a plenty and bird poop on the table (a quick wipe with serviette is not hygienic) I would expect disinfectant spray.
Burnt lunch at full price was rather cheeky.
Has potential though, quirky owner.
Great little cafe. Simple menu, no fuss. Second visit here, both times delightful. Simple & elegant.
Loved this cute cafe. Highly recommended. Boutique, small tight spaces. Not a lot of selection but whats available are tasty and delicious.
We have had wonderful service throughout our Tasmanian holiday - sadly it was not here.
The owner was very abrupt and difficult to get along with - quite dictatorial.
The cake was still frozen in the middle so obviously not fresh.
A small glass of orange juice was $8.
The cost for 1 piece of cake, 4 small lattes and 1 small hot chocolate was close to $50.
I gave her 1 star because she was open… but to be honest - she scared me and I would never go back…
Very rude person behind the counter. Unwelcoming. We left before we could order as she wouldn’t take our order until she’d spoken to the people who came in after us. Clearly doesn’t like friendly people.
A lovely place to stop and have a bite to eat and a coffee. Susan is a lovely lady, a font of information on the history and happenings of Oatlands. The gardens surrounding her cafe are gorgeous and the stone walls are awesome considering the lady built them herself. The food and coffee were great and we will certainly be stopping again in the future.
Old style atmosphere and delicious food. Great coffee and worth a visit to get all tourists off the Midlands Highway to see the gorgeous architecture of Oatlands
Forget Campbelltown and Ross. Oatlands is the best stop along this highway. And when I’m Oatlands, Vintage on High is the best place for a coffee break. Bursting with personality and charm, Vintage on High feels like having a coffee in someone’s backyard. The owner—Sally—is hilarious, sharing stories and after a certain time often with a glass of wine in her hand. The coffee is excellent and the cakes delicious. The garden is peaceful and beautiful. Highly recommend.
Oatlands is worth the tiny deviation off the highway. Vintage Cafe is a must stop in if you are after a good (proper) coffee, or just a break. Simple, yet very satisfying menu. Delicious range of sweets. Friendly service. Take the time to appreciate this little gem, and the town of Oatlands.
Fabulous cafe find in Oatlands worth the detour from the main highway. A warm welcome was followed by great coffee and conversation. Wish I lived in Tasmania to visit more often.
New friendly owner who makes great coffee. The choice of cakes and slices was amazing. The baklava was delicious!
