We went to see the gardens in the Autumn colours and were not disappointed. The gardens are beautiful. If you are dining at the restaurant, which we were, the gardens were free (unlike some others). We didn't have high expectations for lunch (based on previous experiences at other private gardens) but it turned out we were really wrong! The food was amazing. This really is a restaurant serving restaurant food. Quality food. Everything was fantastic - mains and desserts. We will definitely return.

Amazing food, all fresh produce, beautifully presented. Service was also very friendly and prompt. Well done, this place is well worth it!

Very disappointing. First time visit with overseas relatives. Got shown to a seat for lunch and was then forgotten about. Left after 20 minutes. It wasn't even busy at the time. Won't be back.

Been going to Villarette at least once a year for many years. The staff, the dining room, the food and the gardens are absolutely amazing

Spent a leisurely afternoon looking over the beautiful gardens, with a bottle of vino and good food. The cheesecake was a highlight.

Birthday lunch for me on the 23rd April. Beautiful setting and the food was amazing I had a tasting platter and John had a chicken and leek pie all beautifully presented and the most delicious desert afterwards. Thank you so much and a lovely wander around the gardens finished a lovely day.

Went here for lunch today with my husband and parents, so disappointed, food very bland and tastless, poor presentation, food just dumped on plates, food had too many different sauces on foods that didn't even complement the food, had tasting plate and my dad had seafood of the day, well I don't know were the seafood variety was as mostly salmon drowning in a sauce, waited 20 minutes to order then 45 for our meals. My dad had blueberry and pear crepes and found 1 blueberry,
not good enough. Went to pay for our meals and where you pay you can see into the kitchen and it was an absolutely mess, food sitting on benches not refrigeratered, no clean benches for preparing food, if I'd seen kitchen before eating I would have left, and no hair nets or hats on in kitchen by staff preparing food. Won't be returning or recommending. Only positive was that garden's are stunning and well maintained.

What a great place, the food was exceptional, a good selection of Tasmanian wines. The service was good. We had a table of 12 & all meals were served at the same time with all agreeing a beautiful meal. Only open fri sat sun. Advise to book.

Delicious food, beautiful views, gorgeous staff and amazing staff. This place will not disappoint. Must get the cheesecake if available. I'll dream about it forever.

Restaurant looks great. Only $5 2 stroll their beautiful grounds, a true labour of love. A kangaroo hopped past when i was walking up one hill, and theres a lovely seat by the dam 2 soak up the sun and the views. Not a huge site but has a really great feel 2 it, id visit again when next in the area for the serenity.

The service was excellent, and food was outstanding. The presentation was equal to any high priced restaurant, with a wide range of products on the menu. Nothing was too much for the well trained staff. Will certainly sing the praise of this wonderful restaurant, with a great view out over the well established gardens.

Villaret is well worth the visit, beautiful, peaceful and the food is very reasonably priced and pretty good quality. This was my first visit but won't be the last. Allow time to walk through the magnificent gardens.

The place is a picture of perfection and we certainly did not expect the food to be ok and it wasn't, because It was absolutely delicious.
