Umai Sushi

️I took my granddaughter in there for something to eat and she had ordered Teriyaki chicken it was just a abit of chicken they put it in A sandwich maker for 3 minutes thought it was strange but thought to myself they are a restraint so surely they know what they are doing.but that night my granddaughter was sick and the 3 days she was vomiting so warning food poisoning ️ do not recommend

Also tried calling manger was very rude and basically said I was a liar

My chicken wasn't cooked through. When taking it back they gave money back, but then the chef was seen talking smack about us.not realising I understood there language.

I am so loyal to this sushi place I come here every Friday to treat myself with the best sushi I’ve ever had. But now I am very upset because the mayonnaise I came here for specifically has been changed and tastes like trash. Will I never taste the joy it gave me ever again? Its like I’ve lost a friend, a lover, and a mother.what have you done! The light of my life has been taken away. What’s the point of living anymore if I can’t have my mayonnaise? I’m like an addict waiting for my next fix. Someone please help me find it!

Couldn’t wait to eat so took a photo half way through. Delicious vegetarian - vegan friendly bento. Really friendly staff.

I ordered and paid for dumplings and my daughter got sushi - we sat for 20mins waiting for dumplings and when i went and asked she said i hadnt ordered and then she found the order and they were the wrong ones and still werent prepared. I asked for my money back.very poor service and no apology.

The best sushi in all of Hobart. Amazing flavours, friendly staff, great prices and they are always willing to help me to a table when necessary.

Had to ask for sushi to be cut.girl who served me was not happy about that, When she cut it, it was butchered and fell apart all over the place. Sushi was dry and underdone. Definitely won’t be back

The platter is amazing! Service was good and food was tasty. A good choice for Christmas party.

Super delicious - one of the few places that include avocado and cucumber with their tuna sushi rolls.

The crumbed prawn rolls are the best sushis Ive had. They are perfectly sized and fairly priced.

When your sick of shopping and need something to eat that is different and great to eat then give them a go. The food is fresh and hits the spot

I had a mixed sushi pack and a roll of spicy salmon and i expected spicy mayo inside but it wasn't, not much filling in the sushi, taste was so so. My partner had a salmon bento and the portion of fish is quite small. Miso soup was instant one. And most importantly we felt like the soy sauce on the table was diluted, the color was very light compare to those soy sauce sachets. Don't think we will come back again

Great sushi at normal prices.
Staff are friendly but they all don't remove their gloves when handling monies.
