The kitchen is not really operational but they have a good selection of pastries from Crusty's bakery - which just happens to be one of the best bakeries on the NW coast. The course is pretty bloody good considering. Very secluded. Nice that you can enjoy a round without either waiting too long for the 4 ball in front or having folks behind you driving up your bum. Generally it's quiet in the club house. Lots of history behind the older members. If you come and play, be respectful to the members. It's a hidden gem.

If you're a golf nut like me and appreciate really well laid-out golf courses in great condition then don't miss Ulverstone Gc. Played in a Thursday Stableford comp. Had called the day before and they had paired me up with a couple of great locals who were happy to show a visitor around the course.

I have just spent 8 weeks caravaning around Tassie and played as many courses as possible, inc 18 holes courses such as Royal Hobart, Barnbougle x 3, Launceston, Kingston Beach, and Mowbray. I enjoyed all of them, although I would put Ulverstone at the top of the list for best golf courses outside of the Barnbougle courses. Admittedly, it chewed my scorecard up, because you have to play smart golf around it. Would have loved to stay a couple of more days and play it again.
Devonport GC is up there with it as well.

They also have a camping area available right across from the driving range and still dirty my wife talked me out of parking the van there. Great spot with a river nearby as well.

The clubhouse has meals from Thursday through to Saturday as well.

Played in the club competition on Saturday $10 green fee, $10 comp fee and $10 buggy hire. Local members were great to play with, and the course was fantastic. Sensational value, I will be back.

Good quality course. The staff in the pro shop however were incredibly unfriendly. I walked in and in a friendly tone said hello how are you and he just blankly stared at me not a single word. He seemed to hate the fact we had come to play golf at his golf club and every word I said was a massive inconvenience to him.

Dave Harris is spot on as a professional and a great teacher of golf has helped me immensely. Love the course.
