Tsubame Sushi reviews
37 The freshest sushi you could probably get in the Hobart region for a modest price.
I always order straight from the counter and they make it fresh in about five minutes.
Sushi wasn’t so good in quality but was very tasty though, and Ramen was Delicious. Great service and environment, place that i will go back for sure!
Food was good, however ordered a bottle of plum wine for $45, bottle was only half full.
Disappointing
It's good but I would say not a huge range of sushi avalibule but the ordering system was realy glitch.and difficult to use
Not sure if there has been a change in management or ownership? The sashimi platter has less and smaller sized pieces than in the past. The fish is not as fresh and is now served on a horrible plate that looks like a bathroom tile. Wine list does not correspond with wine in stock. Cleanliness also needs attention… the venue needs a deep clean
Best sushi in Kingston. The Japanese cheesecake is a must. They even bring out your food on a mini train.
A nice Japanese restaurant we found when holiday in Tasmania. The ramen was just perfect after a busy day.
The sushi and nigiri is fresh. The Benton boxes are the right size and everything is cooked fresh. Tastes fresh and is light.
The food is good but 8 out of 10 times they sold out of something without updating the ubereats app. They then called and said they had to cancel. It's kinda annoying. Won't order again.
A beautifully styled space with the fun of a sushi train offering a continuous stream of sushi and other dishes. We had takeaway, which was quite nice. The staff member who served me was polite and friendly, though a little too optimistic about the wait time. The overall experience could have been improved by more careful attention to detail in the sushi work (neatness and precision), and consideration to the packaging (paper bags in a plastic carry bag made for some slightly squashed sushi rolls). Also, the layout of the shop entrance is awkward as the open door blocks the takeaway counter, requiring lots of polite shuffling of people whenever a customer enters. Would like to return for the dine-in sushi train experience.
Absolutely delicious Korean and Australian food. Friendly service, clean, nice atmosphere, parking at rear, good value.
Easily the best Japanese restaurant in Hobart so far.we came as a family of four and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience! A great selecion of very fresh, tasty sushi, salad and hot foods pass by on the sushi train.touch screens give you even more choice to order other hot food, desserts and beverages- whatever your choice it is delivered quickly by the vey happy, friendly staff.
Did i forget to mention, they also provide Unique Bento box and Ramen, some of the best i have tried! Would highly recommend
Our default weekend lunch place! We've been coming here for years - love the food, the ambience and the service. Best sushi on train of them all!
I love Tsubame Sushi. They do bento, ramen, sushi of course and more.
It is a great place to dine as when you order a train deliverers it to your set and they do desserts like a japaese baked cheese cake or mochi but if you don't like these there are other choices. Normally they are quick to give you your order but sometimes when it gets busy it may take a few minutes.
Sushi is quite good. I prefer to order mine fresh and it only takes a couple of minutes for them to prepare. The kids also love it.
We love coming here! Sushi lovers, this place will not disappoint you. My favourite sushi here it’s the Bento!
It was cute not many people and it was really clean and the food was yummy and the way they served it was cool too
Lovely place. Great service and atmosphere. Tasty Japanese food. Good prices too
Must come back again. Love the black garlic Ramen fresh sushi and tempura prawn. Highly recommend.
We booked for a group of 7 on a Tuesday night. Super happy we did, all plates were the one low price of $3.90 which is super cheap! Usually the plates are charged according to the colour.
We had never been before and were suitably impressed by the selection, flavour, presentation, friendliness of the staff and the overall experience.
The plates rolled past our table and were up for the taking. There was so much to choose from and they all were delicious.
We had a celiac with us and he easily chose from the tablet menu on the table and the train delivered his meals directly to our table post haste.
We devoured a massive 39 plates and had a round of drinks and it only set us back just under $170! Pretty great for a party of 7 in my opinion.
Definitely worth it on the Tuesday special day, would have cost us quite a bit more any other night.
Hands down can recommend for an evening out, small kids would love the train too. Will be going again for sure!
A nice sushi train restaurant with a perfect environment. I really like the ramen, and the noodle soup is so so so perfect, absolutely recommend! We will come back soon!
