Triabunna Cabin & Caravan Park reviews
22 I think it'd only be fair to rate this in comparison to other carvan parks I've stayed at. This isn't an all inclusive resort, so I'm not going to compare it to hotels or bush campsites. This park was one of the best experiences we had on our little trip around Tassie.
We spent a night in a small campervan and had a great experience. Even though most sites seem quite packed ours was out of the crowd and spacious enough.
If you're staying in Triabunna this is close to shops, cafés and the ferry to Maria.
Camp kitchen, showers and bathrooms were clean and working as intended.
Staff was friendly and welcoming and helped us set up.
Our caravan was swarmed by flies when we arrived in the evening and we spent 30 minutes trying to kill them all, and failed. This was just a parking lot on the side of the road.
It is close to the ferry to Maria Island, but it’s very over priced for what it has to offer.
The woman at reception is “a piece of work”. Very dismissive. She take the hospitable out of hospitality! Beware she bites!
Amenities are old however well kept, clean and safe to use. Camp kitchen has everything plus more to offer. Don't pass it by when traveling as price is affordable at $40 per night. Owners friendly and helpful. Walking distance to IGA and Hotel. Prices at both good. Water front is to behold for the boating enthusiasts.
Small and cramped but adequate and reasonable facilities. People running it are unpleasant. May have struct them on a bad day but wow. Takes the gloss off.
Not a lot of choice in Triabunna so ended up staying at this caravan park for a couple of nights only because we had booked for the Maria Island boat cruise. A very small camp ground and very tight caravan sites. OTT prices for showers and laundry! Clean amenities and an undercover area to shelter out of the wind/rain so not all bad. The man at reception could improve his people skills. Not friendly and quite abrupt.
Flat grassy site, no real road noise, clean toilet and shower block. The outdoor camp kitchen is where the star was lost, it just needs some renovations.
Weird atmosphere - there some people who live there permanently and they are an odd bunch. You have to pay a dollar for 5 min of shower. Staff is nice. There was a couple who live there permanently i think with 2 dogs and the dogs are just chained up in a tent and are extremely thin - seems like animal abuse to me
Stay over a night at the Triabunna Cabin & Caravan Park before going to Maria Island the day after. The host was so hospitable and friendly. The room was fully furnished and cozy. We paid $100 only for a night which was affordable. Full equipment to use outdoor and plenty of spaces. Definitely come back next time:)
We stayed in the cottage, and didn't realise that b & b equalled no housekeeping for the duration of the stay. Our fault for not checking.
Room was OK, a few touches needed to make it a bit better. Frayed electrical cord, missing light globes, leaking shower stall.
Cabin is so clean and spacious. Everything in it you would need. Quiet and peaceful, short walk to wharf. IGA close by if needed
Terrible service, very ordinary facilities, care factor zero.
Don't bother- better off staying overnight in Orford or somewhere else for the Maria Island experience.
On arrival I was told you have to pay for hot showers by metre. Then setting up at site we discovered that none of the taps had nozel fittings and the ones provided in our camper didn't fit. We were told to go buy in at the IGA if they had any left.
Location is great, really close to town and the dock to get the ferry to Maria island.
Other than that, I wasn’t very impressed. The bathrooms were a bit dirty and some of the soap dispensers were empty. Showers were $1 for 5 minutes. Allotments were small with little privacy.
A good cute place to crash. I got booking done some where else, if I knew this place before I would have come here straight.
Stayed twice.
Kind staff, clean bathroom and shower.
Kitchen stove takes time bit of time.
Nice place friendly staff only downfall was the internet was very very slow & you will also need a car to get around
Well the competition is steep. Thirty bucks plus with shower vs free without shower.hmmm. Clean with functioning kitchen, nice operators.
Small caravan park, great service. I had A Cottage Room and is was superb, preserved the old cottage features, stained lining boards, light fittings of the period, large bed (not of the period) large old sideboard containing fridge, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Great for a rest after a hard day on Maria Island. Verandah room contained modern bathroom.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time, highly recommended.
Location is excellent, walking distance to jetty for Maria island ferry n cruise. And it's where the caravan seafood cafe is located. The cost for the stay is expensive for services n facilities offered. Needed refurbishment. Free wifi was a plus. The caravan has an ordour. Would have been 2 stars if not for the location. 77 kilometres from Hobart
Clean and warm cabbin, well appointed. Within walking distance of the shops and the Maria Island ferry.
