Tomahawk Caravan Park

Where do you start.

Tomahawk itself is such a magnificent and beautiful place which is hidden away from the world. From the beaches to the serenity.

Positives:

Nice caravan park grounds. We stayed on the powered site as you enter. Nice cut grass and lots of room for 4 of us.
The caretakers are lovely and very helpful.
Short walk to the beach which is breathtaking.

Negatives:

The amenities let it down, big time. The shower and toilet blocks are old, mouldy and so worn that it’s a really unpleasant vibe. Almost like Bates motel vibes.

Not to mention the lovely locals who enjoy doing donuts in their cars outside the park which then sends the smell of burning rubber through the air. There is not police station nearby which is probably why this happens.

Lastly, no camp kitchen. We were advised to wash our dishes in the laundry sink.

Would we return, yes but not to stay.
If they were to clean up the shower and toilet blocks and include a camp kitchen, we’d definitely return.

Didn't like how we were blocked in couldn't even get our car out, and sick of hearing all the motor bikes we wanted to rest and didn't get any

The area is beautiful.
The people are beautiful.
The toilets and showers are not clean, and you have to pay for a shower.
The cafe is shut down
Needs a good tidy up

Been going here for years and have loved every minute of it!

New care takers are nice but not really great at running everything.
Both toilet blocks had no toilet paper for a whole day.
Care taker had a large argument in the shop with a worker.

There is always 4 wheeler bikes and have never had a issue.but now there is loud two wheeler ones and they was going all day and was so loud!

It really needs updating.water comes on twice a day to fill ya tanks in ya van, if ya miss it then bad luck.
Toilets and showers are really old.

Won’t be back in a hurry

Beautiful beaches toilets need to be knocked down and rebuilt asap they r over the use by date

Great location, I stayed in a cabin right next to the toilet block. Perfect place to relax and unwind ️
It's not 5 star but it has everything you need if you want to get away from everything to chill, go fishing or long walks on the beach

Would not recommend this place to anyone absolutely deplorable amenities couldn't even get enough hot water for a decent shower

Step back in time. UNIQUE. The caretakers are refreshingly friendly and go above and beyond to make stay happy. Stayed two nights and was a great base to unhook caravan and go for 4WD ETC

No view, no water from the site tap, poor TV reception, wifi patchy at best, and shower/toilet block I would not use due to visible filth and horrid mouldy smell. $30 a night for powered site is waaaaaaay overpriced for what you get. I had stupidly booked 2 nights but left ASAP after the first. Could not ask for money back as noone around at reception.

This site should be taken down immediately! Just returned from a paid in advance 5 night stay. Couldn’t put up with it after four. Nothing about this dump is as claimed on the site. Keep clear of this dump!

This park had only one ladies toilet working in the 4 days we were there. Rubbish not collected or recycling either. Two other families left before time. No handwash or soaps in toilet and no hand drying facilities. No covid safe plan. Big disappointment. No games room as advertised, no petrol or gas bbq. Will spread the word about misrepresentation of site on net.

A great disappointment for us. We booked for 1 night powered site and thank heavens no longer! There was only 1 ladies toilet operating out of 4 with the other 3 out of order, no Covid plan, no soap or hand drying facilities. Wood BBQ. My husband was in the shower when we were told the power was off till 7.30 and the owners left saying the takeaway shop on site couldn't operate, this being Saturday night.the power came back on half an hour later. Consequently it wasn't off as long as they'd said and my husband lost $2 in the shower! Having stayed at many parks since Covid with excellent plans in place this was dreadful. $30 a night rip off.

Great location, clean, neat and tidy unit, caravan park, toilet and shower block. Friendly, communicative owners, lovely family business. Great coffee and snacks at tge Cafe too. A stones throw from the beautiful beach. Although there was no bedding, linen, donnas, pillows.maybe due to Covid, who knows, but take your own, was a bit cool and uncomfortable at bedtime without any.

We had a wonderful time, both the park and the beach are amazing. The staff are lovely and go above and beyond.

Beautiful location but very old and run down facilities but the care takers do the best that they can it's a shame that the owner of the park won't spend any money on it.
