Tinderbox Marine Reserve reviews
9Went for a drive and found this area…. Have always wanted to visit the area as we go to Kettering and on to Bruny a couple of times a year…. So it was a nice drive from Hobart via Kingston….
Amazingly freezing cold water to dip into on the hot days we are having. Great place to head off on a kayaking adventure. Plenty of sea caves seaside and painted sandstone bayside. A huge sign out of place was erected along the side claiming not to anchor as there is a underwater cable. Absolute eyesore!
Very busy in the sunny weather this afternoon, terrific spot, bbq, toilets, play ground, boat ramp and jetty (protected marine area)
And small sandy beach, nice walking round the cliffs. Some friendly birds to share your lunch with.
A beautiful spot for snorkelling. There is opportunity to see sting rays, fish, crayfish and seaweeds.
Lovely place to go for a picnic or a BBQ if you are lucky enough to get the one BBQ hotplate! Nice little beach and play area for the kids. Toilet facilities on site and decent sheltered area with seating.
Marine Reserve was set up to protect Tasmania from an armed ATTACK by SEA THROUGH the CHANNEL to the RIVER DERWENT. HENCE THE GUNS FACING TOWARDS THE so CALLED TIN POT.
People judge and ring police for no reason it's kinda ridiculous all we was trying too do was have a Barbie and then went too two houses too ask if they had some salt and sause as we had forgot ours and they rang police.
Picturesque spot looking out towards Bruny Island. Sheltered picnic spot with facilities and under cover area. Plenty of sealed parking.
I gorgeous little spot, a small playground and Beach area make this a good spot to stop with young kids
