The Teddy Bear Shop

Got to visit The Teddy Bear Shop with my husband and toddler recently on our visit to Hobart and we were not disappointed, beautiful shop with lots of gorgeous bears. The new owner was so welcoming and delivered beautiful customer service to us, especially my toddler who loved getting into the police car on display and nearly taking it for a ride. He loved sitting on the big giraffe and looking at the big dragon at front of store. We brought a steiff dinosaur and my son just loves him so much already, special touches with birth certificate for his bear, bear stickers and a ribbon on bag which just makes the purchase of a bear from the teddy bear shop so special.

The team at The Teddy Bear Shop were so helpful to me when organising a very important gift - I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Brought a 55 dolloar Teddy bear from this shop. Well at that cost and a teddy that was meant for "snuggling for children" the stitching at the nose came lose just after a couple of weeks. I had proof of purchase and went back into the store to get it fix. Considering I had the Teddy for approximately a month they took no responsibility to replace or fix the stitching stating it was my fault. Firstly this was 55 dolloar Teddy and I expect the quality to last at least a year with toddler use. I have Teddies half the price from Target that has stood the test of time. I'll be emailing the shop reminding them of consumer Law because I condisder a Teddy at such a high cost to be of better quality. This Teddy was not of expectable quality for the price. Last Teddy I buy from this shop considering their post purchase service dose not live up to cost of the Teddies. **Repsone to the owner** you didn't even contact the supplier I was in the shop for less then 10mintues. 5 weeks of use I would still epxect a 55 dollar teddies nose to be in place. You didn't even inspect the Teddy which the stitching was all uneven and bottom bit totally in loss. I do not allow my pet to have teddies. It's just poor customer service on your part and not taking responsibility for a faulty product.

Absolutely awful customer service. I put a toy on hold that my child had wished for from me for her birthday on a short trip to Hobart. I had rung to arrange for it to be posted to me and yet the shopkeeper gave it away to someone else who claimed they were picking it up on my behalf. Shopkeeper didn't bother calling me to confirm. When I calmly called to alert them to the situation the shopkeeper was hostile and defensive. Simply not good enough. Absolutely horrible experience all round. Had she said she was sorry and that she had no idea what she was doing, or had taken on board a suggestion to ring me, the original customer before giving it away to someone else, it would have ameliorated the situation. Instead she raised her voice and gave me a serving.
