What a wonderful place, so peaceful and quiet, and comfortable. The place was clean and beds comfy. The hosts added all the lovely little touches such as preparing the fireplaces so that all we had to do was add a match to light up a fire. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a decent coffee maker and milk frother, as well as stocked up cabinets with food making things (pasta, sauces, frozen pizzas etc) that you can purchase if you want to make use of that. Lots of beautiful coffee table books to read in front of the fireplace too. And when we arrived there were already breakfast provisions in our fridge (apple juice, milk, eggs, apples, yoghurts, butter, jams, müsli and honey). The communication with the hosts was easy. We had everything we needed and the kids adored the place.

Tiny village was very appropriate for this lovely 1840 cottage. The original section merged seamlessly with what I feel was a newer section and the fire was a treat! Comfortable, cosy, welcoming from the front gate and everything so thoughtfully provided. The best apple juice have tasted, and crispy bread, eggs etc made for a great breakfast. We felt The Storekeeper was a place to call home and loved that we had a second night there.
Angela left no stone unturned in assisting our stay and her warm welcome was greatly appreciated.
The room was comfortable and lovely.

Gorgeous little cottage. Rustic and cozy, but with modern touches throughout. A really beautiful place to spend some time.

We stayed as a family and loved it. Not often you can enjoy a stay in a house 160yo. Hosts were very responsive, set up the house very well and obviously look after it. Made memories, thank you!

The cottage is very homely and well appointed. There is 2 fireplaces, as well as a outdoor fire pit in the courtyard. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you will need and more. The fridge is stocked with a selection of wines and beer. There is a selection of home made meals in the freezer. Great spot to relax and unwind.

Aaaagh, my dream home. What a beautiful place, so cosy. It has two sitting rooms with wood fires, even a firepit in the courtyard, and hot chocolate & marshmallows to add to the great experience here. The beds are so clean & comfortable. This place is so great for a romantic getaway or friends catch up. So much attention to detail, I would definitely go here again.

Gorgeous little cottage with everything you need to make your stay comfortable at a very reasonable price. Better thank some 5 star hotels I've stayed in

Wow, the cottage is so beautiful! We loved our stay here. Angela meet us & was so friendly and inviting. The cottage was amazing, from the beautiful fireplaces, comfy beds, awesome coffee machine, pretty courtyard with firepot to toast marshmallows under the stars and the original shower that has so much character. Our family loved staying at this well appointed cottage. It was a perfect place to drive on to Triabunna ferry where we visited Maria island for the first time and it was magical. The painted cliffs were spectacular, the golden wombats were the cutest (we even got a photo of a mumma & baby posing with our kids) and just exploring the island was breathtaking with the beaches and scenery. We had perfect weather and loved our visit. We woke up Easter Sunday at the cottage and the kids were excited the bunny had been, they found Easter eggs all around the cottage, it was one of the best easters we have had. Angela even allowed late check out which was so nice of her. The breakfast provisions were delicious from free range farm eggs, fresh sour dough bread, muesli, yoghurt and fresh juice. The kids loved the visit to Twamley farm and were shown around the old shearer’s shed by a boy on the farm which was fascinating. They also meet the donkey & sheep which was fun. It was the best holiday. Thank you so much Angela & Elizabeth, you truly have a hidden gem with this gorgeous cottage and the closeness to the East coast & Maria island that you can explore. We will hopefully be back as it was wonderful. Happy Easter!

We enjoyed 2 weeks in the most delightful, comfortable little cottage you could wish to stay in.
Everything you could want was in the cottage and Angela's attention to your needs was incredible.
This was our second stay in the cottage and hopefully not our last.
Buckland is central to many tourist attractions in this area and Bowling Clubs in Orford and Sorell where we were made most welcome.
Thank you Angela.
