The River House reviews
7My wife and I stayed at the River house to get out of town for the weekend, it was an amazing place to stay as a couple. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were great, highly recommend.
The River House is by far one of the most gorgeous places I've ever stayed. It was my partner's and my first visit to Tasmania - and what a welcome! The location was stunning, and our hosts had really thought of everything to make our stay perfect. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
The River House was beyond our expectation. It's location is perfect, just outside of Launceston, but really only 10/15 min from the airport.
The setup is beautiful and nothing was too much effort.
The breakfasts that were served were world class - and they even made us take away breakfast packs when we had to leave pre dawn to make it out to Barnbougle for golf.
Honestly - I couldn't recommend it more, or be more pleased to have stayed there. Thank you for having us.
Ever been to a place where you just stare out the window in awe?
This wonderful 4.5 star B&B is one of those places! The beautiful Tasmanian bush is invited into the lounge room while you are toasty warm, reclining by the old world fireplace. Great time for a glass of Beautiful Tasmanian Wine!
My wife and I have been back multiple times, as we find it our "go to" place to relax and recharge. The owners, Michael and Anna are the perfect hosts.
If nothing else this winter, do yourself a favour and book a trip to the River House Launceston.
I stayed at the River House in November 2018.
What a truly stunning place! The only thing more impressive than the accommodation itself were our incredible hosts.
It's located in a great spot, right on a peaceful bend of the River Tamar. The perfect spot to settle in for a sundown cheese board and a glass or two of Tassie red. You're only a few mins out of Launceston itself and it provides the perfect launch pad to explore the Northern coastline and wineries.
The rooms are really comfortable and well appointed, the property is in fantastic condition and has great walks to keep you occupied if you want to explore the surrounding area.
One of the best places I've ever stayed. Wonderful hosts, Anna and Michael, who endured we had everything we needed. Beautiful room and even more beautiful food. And the view. So peaceful to look out over the Tamar River from their glorious garden. I would highly recommend staying here!
