The River Cafe

Came for coffee then later for lunch. Coffee was good, but then at lunch the salt and pepper shrimp were chewy to the point of being unpleasant. Chips were undercooked and underseasoned. Chicken sandwich was fine, and the kids served to enjoy the nuggets and fish they had.

Would recommend for coffee, but little else.

Fish and chips were fantastic, had a lovely picnic nearby, the owner/shop keeper was very kind and generous.

Friendly staff, were happy and willing to take orders even with the kitchen closing a few minutes later. Great coffee, decent food. Might be worth staying open an extra hour during holiday periods as I saw people get knocked back when the kitchen did close.

Well if you enjoy going somewhere that has no food which is on menu that is run out of steak chicken etc go right ahead SHOULD BE TOTALLY ASHAMED.

Fabulous (real!) coffee and a lovely meal. Along with a huge waterfront view, the cafe has cafe has a gorgeous ambience. The new management’ is extremely professional and friendly - I thoroughly recommend!

We had an enjoyable light lunch of pumpkin soup, spicy fries, and muffin.

The cafe is in a beautiful location near the shore, with outdoor and indoor seating. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and always fresh. We come here often, and each year I bring my mum for her birthday. Thanks to Richard, family and staff for being such great hosts in the past and now thanks to the new owners, in keeping with the quality being very high. I will continue to enjoy a meal here and Beauty Point is a beautiful place.

We had a lovely lunch here today! Friendly attentive service, great fish and chips and the coffee is still excellent. The new owners are doing a great job.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Really enjoyed our late lunch in the sun overlooking the water

$7 for a large coffee and $10.90 for a small piece of cake, come on get a grip. This place is out of touch with these inflated prices. Staff were pleasant enough when they served our food but just stared and ignored us on entry. Plenty of other options around so give this one a miss and save your $$$.

Food was excellent and atmosphere great. Service was mediocre. Lady at the counter didn't seem to know what she was doing.

Great views. Fresh seafood menu. Friendly staff. Disabled access. Local Tamar Valley wine and beer. Barista coffee.

If you need your food done quickly they can get it done so quick haha

Very friendly, the view from the cafe west tamar river was amazing.great coffee and homemade caramel cheesecake was delicious.

Shared a late lunch. Scallops were delicious, service was prompt and friendly. The setting was beautiful.
