We recently spent 7 nights in the family spa suite. The view was beautiful, the beds comfotable, the location great, the bathroom more than adequate, the staff friendly and helpful when they were present or could be located. However I do have a couple of suggestions: the room could do with a spring clean, under beds, ledges, walls etc. In the time we were there the room was not serviced and we had to take our own rubbish away, request clean towels and bin liners. One window could not be shut, one heater was faulty and scorched the powerboard, perhaps more power points would alleviate the need for powerboards. The tea/coffee making facilities were a bit tricky to use located on a lowboy, under the TVand there were only two coffee cups. The information on the booking sites and external advertising could be updated eg. Guest laundry, B&B? Overall we enjoyed our stay at the establishment as it is close to cafes, shops, walking paths and our suite had a great outlook across the water.

Beautiful place great location
Only a couple of minor set backs
There are windows that don't close unless I was completely useless. Friday morning around 6am it's bin man o'clock its a great alarm system and I would suggest adding a couple of plates and bowls to the room as we had to buy some to head food in the microwave

Quaint old building zero contact or communication with proprietor so a little confusing times as to whether we booked in

Never get room no 4!
Noisy street level room with an antique glass piece in the entry door to the room. While it is a stunning room visually, the hall light shines straight through the glass door at night making it impossible to sleep. Ironic when there are heavy blinds and curtains for the other windows.
Being street level also means hearing all the street traffic and footpath traffic at 4;30am through summer.
Not recommended for small children due to the steep staircase for the upper level rooms.

This hotel was amazing! We stayed in the penthouse suit (room 6) for our honeymoon. Not only was this the best room we have ever stayed in, but the view was absolutely next level. Everyone was so lovely and they even gave us a complimentary bottle of bubbly to celebrate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in penguin.

Well set up for late check-in, our room had the heater and lights turned on which was very welcoming.
Clean and tidy and pretty quiet.
Would recommend.

Surprised on the quality size of the classical room that used to be a bank.
