The Little Poet reviews
46Great space and atmosphere, but the food was disappointingly bland. The Buddha bowl was too many leaves and not enough flavour. Could easily have been improved with ginger and/or lemon juice/vinegar and something crunchy.
New cafe in Hobart, lovely decor and quiet atmosphere (in old sirens restaurant). Friendly staff and great to have a vege option for breakfast but too expensive with small portions (half the plate spinach leaves). To succeed will need to reduce prices and increase portions
Lovely little place with unique decor. The service was very friendly and attentive. Food was quite nice, we got the Benedict and the Buddah Bowl with some hot drinks.
The hollandaise sauce was really great! Will be back next time we're visiting.
Nice calm and chill ambiance located next to a yoga studio. Very comfortable seating and layout. Brekkie bowl was nice and large but not overwhelming. Menu is broken into Vegan and Vegetarian so keep that in mind if you want real meat.
Great little new cafe with really friendly staff and very tasty veg/vegan food. Only criticisms was food and drink took a very long time to come out. The place wasn't packed and by the time one of us had finished their meal the other's finally come out. Also the $10 side of chips was a bit of a rip off, as it was only a very small plate of chips. This is probably just due to inexperience and I think will improve in future. Will come back:)
Best food in Hobart CBD. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Vegan waffle with vegan ice cream, vegan French toast were light and exceptional. We also had hashbrowns and cauliflower bites which were equally tasty.
Elegant wouldn't even begin to describe the vibes of this cafe - the timeless decor, a mix of rustic and modern, feels so comfy and warming. The tiny baked goods, adorable, alluring, and so well-presented, elevate the charming atmosphere to new levels. This is a place where time seems to slow down, so come to The Little Poet, and enjoy a delicious cuppa in peace.
My partner and I flew in from interstate and stumbled across this place and was stoked as to our surprise this place is mostly vegan and vegetarian, super friendly staff and mostly fodmap friendly (ask staff for help)
We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends back home
Hidden away in another of the Collins st alleyways, there is a large and cozy interior space for this cafe, serving Taiwanese brunch and beautiful house made desserts. Seating is comfortable, cakes are light and not very sweet.
Absolutely cannot pass up a stop here on a trip to Hobart. There's always something delicious and beautiful to try and see! There are the most adorable booths for groups as well.
Absolute vegan gem.
If visiting Hobart you must visit The Little Poet.
Oh, that impossible burger was next level pleasure!
One of my favourites in Hobart (even in Australia). Nice chai latte, yummy food and a beautiful atmosphere. Friendly and quick service. Delicious and fantastically amazing treats. Definitely give it a try and you will become an addict.
This vegan cafe has a large menu and is reasonably priced. We had the vegan eggs benedict, which had tofu instead of eggs. The sauce was particularly delicious and it had a real zang. We also had a scone which was fresh and tasty, and was a bargain at only $4. The coffee was good and the staff were very friendly.
What a wonderful place for those who prefer plant based foods. Tasty foods, beautifully presented.
Thanks chef for preparing this amazing vegan treats collection for me. It is beautiful and healthy Definitely recommend this lovely vegan cafe and will come back again.
You. Must. Eat. Here.
Vegan chicken burger and chicken+waffles and chai latte. All things I drool just thinking about!
Beautiful place! The style and decoration is really nice and welcoming! Seats are very comfy. Shortly after arriving you’ll get the menu and some water and you can order at checkout when ready to do so.
All dishes are shown on the menu as VEGAN options but you might be able to order vegetarian (at least we were asked to pick from vegan/chicken eggs).
Food is delicious, fresh, well served and deliver with a pretty short wait.
Staff are nice, friendly, welcoming and helpful at all times.
There’s books and newspapers for a read and also some books and coffee needs available for purchase. I loved this place and
I recommend 100%
A refined Raj inspired decor with great attention to detail by staff and yummy gf options.
Wonderful ambience, delicious coffee and food. Big dining area suitable for prams (we had 2) the staff were accomodating and the menu is also adult with kids sharing friendly. We had 2 toddlers and a new born with us, so couldn’t grab any photos on this first go. Entire menu was vegetarian and vegan friendly. I’d def be back!
Great atmosphere and tasty coffee.
The staff was very welcoming and and friendly.
Definitely check this place out if you like quality food and coffee.
Coffee was good quality. The menu was friendly for vegan and gluten free.
The atmosphere is great. Lots of space, clean, good lightning.
I'd happily go back!
