The Hub - Pizza and Beer reviews
52Delicious pizza and ice cream! Nice atmosphere (clean) and a good selection of pizza. Nice to find somewhere with salad as well!
This could be the best pizza I’ve ever had…. Who would have thought stumbling across this divine little town! Beautiful view, cool vibe, can’t rate it highly enough.
First off - forgiveness must be given that it’s low season and Hub is one of the few places open. The pizza came quickly. Pizza crust good and ingredients fresh.
What I didn’t appreciate was the sharp practice of asking whether I want still or sparkling and presenting me with small bottle and cracking the cap. Service was brusque like the weather outside not warm like the log fire inside.
The pizza base was very soft and greasey while the outside crust was burnt black. THEY ALL CAME OUT IN THIS CONDITION.will never go back to this DERBY eatery
I had the pumpkin pizza but made vegan. It was okay, the crust was great but we were disappointed that the price increased by $3 by removing meat and cheese yet no vegan cheese was put on it.
The Pizzas were absolutely amazing (All the P’s and Supreme). Nice crust and plentiful toppings. Th staff were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you!
We were here for dinner, the pizza was yum and we had calzone (pizza with Nutella and strawberry), The first time having it was not disappointing.
The staff were lovely and were available there if you needed them.
Great Ambient, Awesome Pizzas. We tried this place as we were travelling through Derby and it was an awesome experience.
The food tastes fresh and authentic and there is a great variety for Pizzas.
Also the Gelato was beautiful. We tried the caramel hazelnut and honeycomb and loved it.
Highly recommended…
We have eaten at Ducane in Launceston and the Hub pizza's are better than Ducane both hubby and I More choice's better taste.
Truly tremendous Pizza. We had supreme and pepperoni and both 10/10z. Local beers, vodka and gin were great.
Great environment, service and food. Definitely up there with the best pizza we’ve tasted, sourcing from local suppliers as we learned from a chat with the chief. Highly recommend
Amazing pizzas! Had the Bianco Special (amazing!) and the Beds are Burning (just the right amount of spice). Would definitely come back.
Why is the ice cream so yummy? The cows here must be so happy and listen to Beethoven all the time I am gobsmacked.and the fennel sausage with pumpkin is so good as well.the pumpkin purée is sweet and aromatic omg omg. I think I finished them in …10 mins woops.
Great pizza in a small town, good bases, nice variety and also a fair few beverage options (not to mention yummy gelato)
I’m not fussy, but this might well be the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Sloppy, salty, inedible without burning your mouth on the swimming sea of cheese. Unless you’re truly starving, I’d suggest venturing elsewhere.
From walking in to leaving - the staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Pizzas were Devine
Absolutely delicious. Group of 12, everyone loved their pizzas and the icecream is also beautiful! Staff are welcoming and lovely and food is reasonably priced. Thanks for a wonderful evening
Great salad, great pizza, great friendly service and great prices. Great, great, great and great!
After a number of recommendations to dine at ‘The Hub’, a last minute decision to do just that was rewarded with an amazing experience.
Even though it was a full house, the personable staff were accommodating.and their easy going and friendly demeanour made us feel welcome.
The garlic bread alone was worth the visit and is now one of our favourite food groups….
The supreme pizza was a meal fit for a King and the ‘Original Sin’ pizza was worthy of my Queen. These pizzas were sensational.
Thank you to the staff of ‘The Hub’, for exceeding our expectations.
5 stars here!
