We recently stayed and hosted our micro wedding at the The Granary surrounded by our immediate families. Fiona is an exceptional host, who considers and curates every small detail in the overall experience of staying at this beautiful property. Th gardens are exceptionally manicured, with a gorgeous view everywhere you look. The property is full of history and charm that is unlike anywhere else we have ever visited. We am so grateful that we could celebrate our marriage standing on the gorgeous steps at the front with the most beautiful backdrop behind. The ideal place to spend a weekend with friends or family and indulge in the rejuvenation that The Granary has to offer. We only wish we had of had more time to fully explore and relax instead of preparing for a wedding, therefore we will endeavour to return in the future!

The most delicious freshly baked cake on arrival, a garden tour from the host, little blue wrens on balcony railings, cosy couches to relax on, a toasty fireplace to keep warm and bunnies hopping around the grounds. What more could you ask for. Thank you Fiona, Nick and family for such an amazing end to our honeymoon. Will most definitely be coming back whenever we next get the chance.

This has to be some of the best value and most beautiful luxury accommodation in Tassie… what a great base for our adventures. You’re essentially in the middle of the state so it’s a great place to see it all if you want to be busy - you can manageable do the picturesque drive to Wineglass Bay, Cradle Mountain, and Hobart (MONA) on different days all in one trip to Tassie. However, this place would actually be perfect if you didn’t want to do anything at all. We came in winter and were totally spoilt with stunning details all around the house, heated tiles in both bathrooms, electric blankets, beautiful quality amenities, linen and furnishings, and enjoyed a log fire in the living space, plus the stunning natural landscape, brimming with hares, funny hens and Guinea fowl - like a storybook. We were welcomed so warmly and loved every minute. Fiona and Nick are going to be winning some kind of accommodation award soon if they haven’t already!

Do yourself a favour and stay at The Granary. Every detail has been thought through. Pictures cannot do it justice. Expect luxury, beauty, history, amazing vistas, and room for the family to come together or spread out. Wonderful hosts. Sheer indulgence. It’s magnificent. Do it!

One of the most beautiful spots for our family to come together and slow things right down. It’s a beautiful home, with the most wonderful hosts that makes you happy just being there. We read, sat by the fire (evenings by the fire pit roasting marshmallows - so good!) and cooked up a storm in the very well appointed kitchen. Hearts are very full after our stay here.

Staying with Fiona and Nick at the Granary was an absolute delight from the moment of our initial enquiry through to our departure. The Granary provides the perfect balance of privacy and on-site access to your hosts. The gorgeous lounge, dining and kitchen areas are incredibly generous in their proportions, whilst the furniture choices and decor enable you to instantly relax in the comfortable and well-styled surrounds.

Highlights include afternoon coffees on the beautiful sun-filled deck, evenings by the fire, and glorious sleeps in the super comfortable beds with superior quality linen.

Enjoy days exploring the property and take drives to nearby towns and eateries.

We look forward to returning and being welcomed back by the beautiful owners. Thank you again Fiona for a wonderful stay!

We had the most wonderful weekend away at The Granary! The sandstone House was simply stunning, and the grounds were beautiful and filled with friendly wildlife. The faultless amenities and the cozy wood fire made for an incredibly relaxing stay with friends, so much so, we didn't leave the property all weekend!

Fiona and Nick are the consummate hosts and The Granary is breathtaking. We will always seek out a unique place to stay and the Granary ranks at the very top in every respect. It is beautiful, welcoming, so comfortable and just so perfectly imperfect! - 200 years of history in every corner and every brick, yet so wonderfully composed and styled to feel so contemporary. We felt completely spoilt!
We couldn’t recommend it more highly - and next time we are definitely staying longer!

We had the most wonderful stay at The Granary. The pictures are beautiful but to experience the magic of the property in real life is something else! I stayed at this magnificent property for a book club getaway. We were blown away by the high end fittings, finishes and luxury touches and Fiona provided complete privacy but enough excellent service to ensure we were looked after. Only 20mins from Launceston. An incredible experience and a 'must-stay' historical property. In a league of its own.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at this property and look forward to returning.

It was a great experience staying in a convict-built stone and brick building now converted into spacious accommodation.

The Granary is tastefully decorated and furnished and surrounded by tranquil gardens.
The beds were very comfortable, and building was well heated and there was a wonderful wood fire. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed us to cook easily during our stay.

You are welcome to walk around the gardens and down to the river, where there is a picnic table and firepit.

Fiona and Nick were friendly and welcoming hosts
We were greeted on arrival with a warm cake on the kitchen table.

If only there was a six star option because The Granary Richmond Hill is second to none. I was recently lucky enough to stay two nights with a group of girlfriends, and to say the weekend was memorable is an understatement. Every aspect of this experience was exceptional, from Fiona Moses our most superb and gracious host, to the luxury fit-out of the The Granary itself. We were blessed with beautiful weather, so were able to walk around the Richmond Hill property where you really feel like you are stepping back in time. This is without doubt the best accommodation experience I have ever had in Tasmania and I'm already booked to come back with my family in 2021. Thank you Fiona and Nick for really doing hospitality right.
