The Flames Grill Bistro reviews
8We have visited this venue for a couple of meals and going back tonight, overall the food has been pleasing and we haven't been disappointed. Its a country pub and the décor reflects this. Would be nice if the place got a 'facelift' sometime, but I can overlook this.
Friendly crew and tasty food!
Only ten or so wines on the wine list, including Yellow Tail and Jacob’s Creek.
The small spartan dining area is at the back of a small pub. It is also the pokies bar, so the sound of coins being paid out is a frequent addition to the dining experience.
All meals appear to come with a standard fries and salad.
Good restaurant with a variety of grilled specialties on the menu. Our Steaks and the Lasagne were very good.
Thought it was about time I tried this place. My neighbour and other locals have all suggested trying it out now that it’s changed hands and/or rebranded.
I was not disappointed. Really good portion size. Well presented, cooked perfectly and food prepared pretty quickly. The creamy pepper sauce was delicious.
The atmosphere is acceptable though it’s definitely nothing fancy. It does have a nice view off the back deck and out the back window. It feels very much part of the pub (even if it’s a seperate business) with the Keno on display and the pokies room entrance near the front.
Very enjoyable lunch with friendly service and excellent cuisine.
We shall definitely be back!
Very disappointed. PORK RIBS like they where microwaved.
Chefs special RAGU LASAGNA cold and tiny size definitely not oven cooked.
The main meals really where a disappointment.
Thank goodness for the sticky date pudding. It was delicious but it really did not make up for $55 of main meal.
Drunk kept coming in from bar and yelling and shouting to other people in the restaurant.
Really not an enjoyable evening.
This pub is an absolute gem! It's tucked away on a quaint street and offers a cozy, warm atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the menu is delightful, and the bar is well-stocked. Every detail is carefully considered, making it a must-visit spot.
My wife and I went for dinner. I had a steak and she had the ribs. The chef is undoubtedly a very good cook. The place was full with large tables of people, and both our meals were cooked to perfection. Helpings are generous. The pepper sauce was the best I’ve ever had. The salad was far better than most. There was an issue with our order taking a bit longer to arrive. The chef then gave us complimentary desserts which was awesome as well. I saw a couple of Parmi’s heading past me that looked delicious, I’ll be trying one of those next
