The Brick Factory reviews
38Disgusting behaviour from female security as always, very well known for treating patrons like garbage. Most foulest couple of cows to exist. Need jail time
We stumbled upon this bar hearing the live music. Tim Hibberd Entertainment was amazing. The service was fabulous and the marinated lamb ribs were absolutely delicious.
Friendly staff. Various table sizes, good for larger groups.
Good menu array.
Fried chicken burger: good, tasty, well cooked and fulfilling.
Chips: fairly standard.
Lamb Ribs: very good and fell off the bone.
Wait times good.
Recommended place.
The schnitzels were huge! Absolutely amazing. And fantastic to taste.
Steak sandwich was brilliant! And if you're looking for a simple, yet lovely starter, go for the garlic bread. Will come again!
As their sign says, best pub trivia in Hobart. I visit the Brick Factory every time I come to Tassie, it has good food, friendly staff great atmosphere and as I only just discovered Buffallo wings to die for. I'm only leaving one star off because the seats could be more comfortable.
Food at this place has become very average.
Fish and chips and is all batter.
Schnitzel very underwhelming.
Bland pork belly.
Went with the kids on a Monday for lunch. Kid’s spaghetti and quinoa salad took a while to come out but were fine. The Chicken Parma however took 50 minutes to come out 20 minutes after the kids spaghetti came out so we didn’t eat together. The chicken Parma was stringy and overcooked. It was like sand paper couldn’t cut through it at all!
Terrible! When I gave some feedback for the Parma to the waitress did not get any offer of refund, just an apology, and that “she might take the Parma into the chef, so he can see it. ” it is very hard to get a Parma wrong. This Parma was just ghastly. I only hope that we don’t get sick from it tonight. It’s lucky that they ask for payment prior to sending out your food because otherwise we would not have to pay for that Parma. Will never return.
The staff were quite rude and did not seem to care. The pork belly was not the best. Would not recommend this place
Great atmosphere. Emptier this week. Would think the lady on the door that said I was too drunk to come back in after my smoke break (after drinking tea and not alcohol all night) might be causing the bar to lose money. I walked away with 3 men who were buying drinks and we would have spent another $200 on the bar at least might have something to do with it. Power tripping over being a door girl is definitely not a new issue in pubs and clubs: (had fun dancing until then. Great music, great food and a good mix of fun patrons. I’ll be back… and I’ll happily go next door if the girls on the door is still in a mood.
I honestly have no idea how this has more then a 1 star rating. Straight off the staff at the bar was very rude and judgemental. Asked the lady for a fire engine and she looked me up and down and said “we don’t do that here” but when I asked the male bartender a few minutes later he said he can make one. This was confusing and your staff need to understand what drinks can and can’t be made, it shouldn’t matter which bartender I go too to depend on what drink I can have. Ordered the 300g steak and the chicken Parmi and 2 drinks which came out to roughly $80. This was ridiculous for the taste, quality and size of the food. Left feeling sick as the chicken was undercooked and smelt terribly off. The vegetables that were served with the steak were hard and smothered in herbs that should not have been on them. Horrible staff, service and food. Will not recommend or go back ever.
Had a great meal here one night during our visit to Hobart. Pasta was fresh, generous in size, and very tasty. The place was packed though, and there was only tables outside, which there was adequate heating but the vibe outside was lacking a little, especially compared to the vibe radiating inside the bar.
Food was great and staff were friendly. We went twice with a group of 10 and both times there was a large delay between orders on the table. Some had finished before others got their food. Food was great though.
Beautiful, affordable and top quality prepared meals. As Tour Operator I often refer our visitors to relax and enjoy the service and amazing food.

The reviews looked amazing so we went for dinner, lamb ribs, pork ribs were ok but the karaage chicken was set and flavourless. Bit disappointed after the other amazing food we've had in Tassie.
Had the beef burger, nephew had the brick burger, he loved his but chips were too salty, my burger was tasty but the meat a bit dry and chips too salty.the atmosphere was great.
Brilliant food, good prices, was a little concerned about wait staff but they stepped up after first impression.
Ate here with the folks. Steak was cooked to perfection apparently. My fish basket was very tasty and ma's was great too. Good selection of beers and we were treated to some free live music. I'd come back for sure.
Had a few drinks here on a relaxed bucks night and was really happy with the service, atmosphere and draft selection, would be happy to return again.
Stopped for a quick pizza on "half price pizza Wednesday". Enjoyed our Supreme although a little too many anchovies for me! Will be back again!
The ambience is great with super friendly staff. We ordered burger and buffalo wings along with beer - the food tasted so good, definitely recommend the wings. Great combo with beer!
