Total robbery with the wine charging 70 dollars a bottle for Riversdale pinot. Bottle shop is half the price!

I seriesly couldn't recommend this place enough!
We arrived at 7.30, were served a beautiful espresso Martini, ate our main meals, 2nd drink and offered the desert menu within an hour of arrival!
We ordered the beef cheek (AMAZING!) & Scotch fillet steak (cooked perfectly) and seriously the best meals we've had since in Tassie!
The wait staff were so lovely, attentive & professional.

The SEAFOOD PASTA was just wow, slightly overpriced but worth it. My colleagues enjoyed their food too. Great venue to dine in with the beach view. Will definitely come back.

Wow. Wow, what a spectacular place to dine. Place was packed, which I always see as a great sign. The pork belly salad is, quite easily, the best salad I have ever eaten. Calamari was soft and fresh. Coffee was on point. The Beach House has become my new favourite place to eat. 10 thousand stars!

The best tasting food we’ve ever tasted! Presentation and portion sizes were beautiful and satisfying. Honestly don’t have any criticism and we’ll definitely return. Thank you!

We went as a large group to celebrate a birthday, and it was a brilliant experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, I had the sticky date pudding for dessert and it was the best sticky date pudding I've had. I highly recommend coming here.

Great local restaurant for any time of the day. Lovely friendly service and good size portions.

The food was pretty decent and was nicely served but I had a dead fly on my plate! I lifted my last piece of fish to find a dead fly underneath. The waiter was very nice but should’ve washed their hands before removing it from my plate at the table. I wasn’t going to eat the part that had touched the fly obviously, so I missed out on half a piece of fish! Nothing was offered to fix this and I had to pay $30 for a meal with a dead fly pretty poor that it wasn’t made half price or a free drink wasn’t offered. In my job I would offer a refund or a new plate of food. Not very impressed and doesn’t make me want to come back for dinner.

A pleasant outlook. Lots of hard surfaces make for a noisy experience. Add to that loud patrons and the odd screaming child and you get the idea. Very high surface area made for some very oily spring rolls. The main meals took about 30 mins to arrive. I had a burger which lost about 1/2 cup of liquid (presumably from the pineapple) when I picked it up, accompanied by cold, soggy fries. So, if that sort of thing floats your boat go for it. I won’t be back - ever.

Gorgeous venue, friendly staff and excellent food. Highly recommend for dinner. Location was perfect to watch a rain roll in over the water. They cater really well for gluten free and understand coeliac cross contamination.

We've been several times for food and coffee since the owners took over some time ago, each time giving it the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately I don't think we will go again. We had breakfast this morning, I asked for scrambled eggs without lactose. The eggs came out mushy, pale & extremely bland. (could have made better at home) and the sourdough was basic white & under toasted. I almost left my dish, but couldn't bother after paying to go home to cook a second breakfast. My partner had poached eggs, his were nice but again toast was more like bread (not toasted enough). We waited 15-20 mins just to receive two coffees when there were barely a handful of customers. Ordered halloumi on the side, came out deep fried halloumi sticks (not grilled as is usually everywhere else). Was literally two sticks for $5! We weren't attended to again after meals being dropped off. Would have happily ordered another coffee if someone had come to our table. We were never asked during or upon paying how our meal was. Did the staff know that it was less than average quality?
Our previous dinner experience was un-satisfying when a pasta dish was cooked with ingredients that had been asked not to be included (allergies), third time lucky (everyone else had long finished their meals) but pasta was soft and definitely not al dente as you'd expect it to be. However staff were friendly and did not charge us for that meal for the inconvenience.
The only plus is the location, and the staff are friendly upon entering. The coffee is also pretty good.
Would we return again? Maybe for a coffee but not for food. It's overpriced and underwhelming.

I've had some great meals here in the past but recently I ordered a chicken burger and it looked and tasted like a Caltex microwave special. The only thing missing was the plastic wrapper. Chips were cut from rotten potatoes and tasted pretty poor too. If it were priced appropriately I wouldn't care too much but at 27 it was probably 15 too high. Easy one to fix I hope it's better next time!

Outstanding service, the staff were so hospitable and welcoming upon arrival. The chefs attention to detail with flavour and quality produce was impressive.

We recommended a friend of ours eat there and she told us she was feeling really sick from her pregnancy and couldn’t eat any food which made her feel really uncomfortable as she was there with friends.

The waiter noticed this and offered a ginger ale on the house to help. It not only helped but they ended up having a really nice time.

This type of service not only inspires good service to fellow hospo staff but gives hope to patrons who are experiencing poor service due to Covid, staff shortages etc.

The food was fantastic and the place very popular so I would suggest booking. Great food choices as well as wine, could do with a few more wine by the glass choices would be my only comment.

Firstly, the location is super cool and breath taking Moving on to the restaurant, it's built simple yet classy! The staff is sooo good in there and now the most important point for which you clicked on this review is the FOOD which is just Delicious. We ordered in starters Chicken x two and in mains it was East x West. The food was super good, tasty and mouthwatering. The serving size was good for a single person and you will be full with just either of the dishes. Along with these, beer battered chips were there in sides which was quite good especially with aioli sauce. In drinks, there was iced coffee and sparkling cranberry which again were cool and refreshing. Overall, the experience, food and ambience is worth a try for some extra dollars as it is a bit on the expensive side but worth it. Do go and try! ️

I've tried this place twice for a great steak but both times they were chewy and fatty. Not worth $42. When I voiced my complaint I was asked if I'd had many steaks? Really patronising. I won't try again.

Fantastic location overlooking the beach. The scallop and pork belly was superb and it was the best char grilled steak in many years
