Best date night ever. The service was impeccable. I haven't had food so good often in my life. The pork was to die for and the sauce exquisite. The accompanying Merlot was a perfect pairing. The lemon dessert almost infallible. What an incredible experience. I'll be savouring those flavours for years to come.

I am going to start off by saying that Jenna in the restaurant was excellent. Her service skills are exemplary and she is very friendly and helpful. There are not enough stars in the 'Service' category for her. It was our 32nd wedding anniversary and she really made an effort to make it special.
The food was delicious, the entrées were perfect and we had the whole flathead for our main. It was supposed to be a meal for two but it was a little small. It was cooked perfectly and was delicious, just not really enough for two. It left more than enough room for desert and another drink.
We had a local Merlot over dinner and the pre dinner gin cocktail was sensational, so I am told.
We had a wonderful meal and a very happy anniversary.

It was worth the long and windy round trip from Swansea when we managed to secure a 6 pax table via a last minute phone booking on 4 Dec.

Watching the sunset and taking pictures before the mains were served sets the tone and expectations for our evening. Every element was heartfelt, from the warm bread with 6 accompaniments showcasing Tasmania produce; grilled calamari starter, the seafood platter, the T-bone steak with a wonderful sauce and butter, the aged duck and deserts. We all had different favourites at the end of the meal.

Our server (lady) was attentive, warm and professional throughout. Sorry I didn’t get your name, but thank you.

We stayed at the lodged on our holidays so we decided to have dinner at The Bay. Just in time for sunset!

All staff on the night gave us exceptional service! Food was delicious! Highly recommended the Lobster pasta! Beautiful night to remember!

A great night at this restaurant. Book ahead as it is full on weekends. I probably had the best seafood chowder ever here! We had the king fish and the perch as well but if there was a next time, I would just have the large chowder as a meal. Great choices too for vegan or meat eater. The service was super friendly! I love having waitresses from all

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at The Bay Restaurant. Great food (Mains were Sous Vide Duck Breast and Wild Clover Lamb Back Strap, Dessert Freycinet Honey Creme).

Shoutout to Darcy from Broome for outstanding service - made our night.

Ordered nearly the whole menu, but unfortunately felt like majority of the dishes had too much going on. Lots of sauces, toppings and extra ingredients (particularly for the desserts).

Favourite dishes:
- Bicheno tiger abalone risotto - cheesy with perfect hints of mushroom
- Freycinet seafood sharing plate
- Dutch carrots
- Crispy chat potatoes - great side to balance out the heavier dishes
- Seared Tasmanian scallops - interesting combo of sweet corn, avo, proscuitto & popcorn
- Wagyu steak - delicious but wasn't worth $85
- Freycinet honey creme

Could go without:
- Wild Clover lamb fillet - only had 3 tiny pieces of lamb
- Pan fried kingfish - fish was a bit dry
- Freycinet seafood bouillabaisse
- Scottsdale confit pork belly - pork belly itself was decent but wasn't a fan of the sauce, slaw was overpoweringly sour
- Raddichio salad
- Citron cheese cake - very small serving size
- Tongola goats’ panacotta - wanted a simple panacotta but ended up having all these different additions

Food took a while to come out however our server was amazing! Very accommodating for a special request for a friend's birthday. Presentation of the food and interior of the restaurant was stunning too:)

Greeted by lovely wait staff to begin with, so welcoming and friendly. The atomosphere was calming and not too noisy. I had the oyster tasting to begin with which was delicious best natural oysters I’ve had in tassie so far. We both had the eye fillet steak as a main which was cooked perfectly to medium rare. Would definitely come here again if we come back to the area.

We had a really great experience for dinner. Steak was amazing. Corey the waiter was informative and helpful. He gave us many recommendations for what else to do on a holiday around Tasmania. Would definitely go back!

Incredible seafood. Fantastic value and service. We sampled several dishes, the crayfish being the stand out. For what you pay you get some excellent dishes, a lot for your money. The staff were also super nice and made us feel really valued. It was one of the best meals of our holiday. A great spot to time for sunset too. Would recommend.

We ended up dinning twice in this spot in 1 week! Words are not enough to express how amazing the staff are at The Bay Restaurant, big shout out to Pablo and Marie. So informative, welcoming and over all extremely friendly. The food was delicious and very well presented! Was a highlight to our trip in Tasmania - thank you!

We had the seafood risotto, the octopus and the abalone pasta and all dishes were delicious. We received great service from our waitress (I believe her name was Steffi). One of our favourite meals in Tassie!

The view from this restaurant is spectacular and the food here was absolutely delicious. I had the steak and it simply melted in my mouth. The abalone pappardelle was also delicious and the service was great. Thank you Corey. Very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Great to see you the next morning as well. Thanks for the tips of where to go too! We went to Cape Tourville Lighthouse on your recommendation and it was spectacular.

Was my first visit to this restaurant as we are from Victoria. The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonable. The staff were so friendly and provided great service. They explained the dishes well but also stopped to get to know you and have a chat. Special shout out to our servers Marion and Sam for making our night so fun.

We had a lovely meal! The oysters to start were delicious and the duck main was absolutely fantastic and a must-try. My personal highlight was the old fashioned, which was truly delicious!

Arrived to ear and was closed. Even the bar closed to 3pm.was directed to the bistro which was not what I wanted.it was average bistro food.

We were so grateful to the team at The Bay for so graciously accommodating us when we arrived in the late evening after a driving day. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the local specialities. The food was incredible, the menu has clearly had a great deal of thought and passion put into its creation. Even the breads with tasting bush powder, seasoning, local olive oil and side of greens was beautifully prepared and presented. Thank you!

The eye fillet and desert we had were amazing! This is by far the best food we have eaten in Tasmania. Absolutely delicious!
