The Arcade Bar reviews
19Lots of old school games to play. The staff were super friendly and willing to chat. Games are paid with 20c pieces they convert at the bar for you. Wasn't too busy around 8pm but it can get crowded with large groups of people coming through. Worth a look and play.
Awesome atmosphere, great service and even greater staff. Head-on down if you fancy yourself a couple of drinks and either a trip down memory lane or a little capsule of the 80s encased in a ripper of a bar.
Decided to call in on Friday night for a sticky beak. Was not disappointed, the bloke behind the bar was funny and just a down to earth guy, the entire decor is a massive blast from the past, tucked away little hidden gem.
Good music (all 80s of course) and just so comfy and inviting.
Will be back again for sure!
We wanted a Bloody Mary so bad but didn’t know where to get one so we went to arcade bar. They didn’t have all the supplies for them, so one of the bartenders went and bought the supplies so we could have our Bloody Mary. The people working here are really nice and have amazing service, I would recommend. Well priced as well. Also the place just looking hella cool
Awesome. VHS wall, cassette tape bar counter, nostalgia in a tiny, private package. Bartender friendly as hell, won't regret dropping in.
Its got a great vibe. Great lil hidden gem, great service.
Bar service is great.
Its a unique setting.
Flashing colour dance floor right next to a vhs tape wall. The bar is made of cassette tapes.
Think 80's only and that's what they play flat out! It's awesome
Cute and intimate little spot that do great cocktails. Also has arcade games so bring your coins! Great for date night
Great staff, classic arcade games and nostalgia triggering beats. I challenge you to beat my Tetris high score with just the one 20c
Great atmosphere. Really good comedy. I do need to lodge a formal complaint about the fire button on galaxian. It seems to be double pressing and my top score attempt was ruined!
Well, what can I say.the 9 of us arrived and had many many shots. The bar tenders were great at keeping up with our requests. Love the atmosphere and the music. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic place with such a great nostalgic & fun atmosphere. Excellent service from friendly staff. Will certainly spend more time there in future.
Brilliant place with a warm atmosphere and wonderful hosts. Full of nostalgia and great for old-school gamers who want to play arcade games. Loved it.
Pretty cool, but a pint of plain old boags draught was $13. Why the $3 premium? It seems excessive. There's other places to go for a beer.
Awesome place, the owner has put so much work into creating the perfect kind of atmosphere and it shows
80's themed bar with arcade games! Beer and Pacman.yes! Casual no fuss space that's easy to spend time in. Games still 1980 prices too.
Legendary nostalgic bar, friendly staff, good energy. The music is pumpin and 20 cent coins are flowing. I was impressed with the prices of the machines, majority of the machines are 20 cents a credit, some of them are 1 dollar for two credits. Cheaper then other arcade places.
Great niche bar that's a cool hangout for a laidback catch up, drinks and games with friends. Stylish and fun 80s decor (yes, there's such a thing as stylish 80s) with the arcade nostalgia vibes coming on strong. Very pleased to have left with a high score - and saving up the 20c coins for the next visit!
The bar is fantastic, it feels like stepping back to my youth. Great range of spirits and drinks on offer, friendly staff with so much effort put into the little details, the bar, the TV wall. We went there after reading the reviews of the bar in the Launceston News and the Examiner. Well worth a visit. We will be back!
Thank you to the incredibly hard working folks at the "The Arcade bar" in Launceston.where else can you reminisce great movies from the 80"s on a wall of VCR's, play a pinball machine and drink a beer at a bar that has cassette tapes set into the top of the bar. This is an awesome place with great people. Who wouldn't love a bar like this. Well done!
