Thamel House

We went here for my parents wedding anniversary. Pemma and our waitress were absolutely lovely, they even left a card on the table for mum and dad. The service was fantastic. They would stop for short conversation, always joking with us, and making sure we were happy. The menu isn't huge, but there is lots of variety. The food was excellent. There is a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. The chairs were comfortable, the tables are nicely spaced, definitely don't feel cramped. And the playlist of music was excellent! I will 1000% be coming back with friends. And I recommend everyone does the same.

We had a great meal here and enjoyed the live music playing in the background. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant for good value food and drinks along with friendly service.

We had a quick meal before going to the cinema tonight. The food was delicious and the service was great. We will definitely be going back again when we have more time to try more of the menu.

Excelent attention, very good ambientation and music. The Ford was really tasty and abundant. Will come again and try the pasta.

We’re are here traveling around and walked in to have dinner, it was one of the nicest meals I have had in Launceston, the Sizzling beef was so nice, the wife had the chicken choyla, such a interesting and beautiful flavor. So wish we had a restaurant like this near us in Brisbane.

Wonderful service, very friendly staff. Hospitality on point. Delicious food with beautiful live music. Perfect would be the word. Good place for a lunch date/dinner date with friends, family. Highly recommended.

I’m visiting Launceston for work and came to Thamel House after review their online menu.
The waiter recommended the octopus, beef sizzle and Nepal desert with matching wine and it was all delicious. It was Tuesday evening and quiet, but would love to see this place on a Friday or Saturday night with a band playing. (Sorry don’t have any good photos)

Loved the music. The apple martini was a highlight along with the starters. So glad we gave Thamel a try. We will be back

Highly recommend for food and service. The staffs were very kind and friendly. Cocktails were great. Will be coming back again.

Their crew is extremely warm and friendly. We family eight person went to restaurant a bit late. They still treat us not only delicious food but also kindly smile and patience. One of their talented member made roses by napkin to comfort two exhausted kids. Moreover, Their Food is fresh and great with special spice and sauce. Definitely a five star!

You walk into the premises and the place is well layed out. Plenty of room between tables so you don't feel cramped. The staff are very well mannered and nothing's an issue. Now the food, if you are into amazing food this is the place. I had the porterhouse steak and it was giant and cooked to perfection. My wife had the souvlaki and it was massive. You get such large meals. There is a large selection of beverages to choose from too. I highly recommend Thamel House. Enjoy.

A great place, the food, the service and the atmosphere are all fantastic. We loved the dumplings, the octopus was fantastic and the paneer fried rice was perfect. We will absolutely be back soon.
