Telegraph Hotel reviews
32At upper deck for early part of NYE. Excellent service from the staff. Very accommodating for partners lactose intolerance and full of suggestions and communication with the kitchen. Food was good, some improvement could be made for sure but ok in general.
The rooftop was nice but food was pricey ($29.50 for a parmi!). I had a chicken pizza from the specials menu ($26) which didn't take too long considering our group size, but I don't quite feel like the price was justified.
We dined in the restaurant area, which had a great atmosphere. Food was well executed and there were plenty of gluten free options. The service was friendly and helpful, although a little slow.
I went there on Friday afternoon for a drink or two. Not quite busy yet, and the staff was very quick serving the order. And I found Heineken beer on tap
We are visiting from SA and have had dinner here for the last 2 nights. Great food, great price, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff
Great beer and friendly staff, but a thirty minute wait for food had us leave after one drink and try somewhere else.
Great place to start the night off. Pretty standard drink prices and does tend to get busy, but the atmosphere is great.
So sorry Telegraph Hotel, I meant to give you guys a 5 star review. Had a great time Friday listening to some great live music
I’ve been here three times and whatever we ordered we were happy. Once we were invited for dinner and one of the staff mad a mistake with reservations and when we arrived another’s group had been seated at our table. So, we had to seat at another table that upset our hosts a lot.
At the end, the supervisor came to our table and offered us free dessert also he said we didn’t need to pay for dinner! That was a generous offer also he gave all of use drink vouchers for next time.
You expect good restaurant such a management.
Ryan’s customer service was exceptional! Such an assets to this restaurant, highly recommend
The new reno is great, the rooftop will be great in summer. Drinks are expensive.
It gets very busy, they don't seem to cap numbers.
My lunch consisted of a barely warm, bland pizza that had a soft base, so it was more cheese and pumpkin on bread for the price on $25. Drinks are over priced. $10.50 for a bottle of light beer. Not worth the money.
Great music and vibe but poor bartender, can’t even make a simple Martin, they probably can only make what’s on the menu or thats the night they only serve what’s on the menu, but is it so hard to explain to your customer instead they put the menu infront of me and point his finger on the cocktail column…in the end I ordered a gin tonic and they use the tiniest glass (abit larger then espresso shot glass) to serve, or maybe that’s their standard too. Not a very good impression
The best pool table's in Hobart City Central. The locals are keen to challenge the tourists, for a game. Fabulous friendly staff and great meals. The place where the locals meet after work for a beer
Awesome place to meet before a night out, have a cheap chicken parmi and chips, maybe cheap but they are amazing! Yummo also have great cocktails
Management are incredibly rude to their staff infront of me, as a customer. Disgusting to see, considering the service I receive is always great!
The cheapest in town with great deals. And the $10 Pami was one of the best I’ve had. Ordered a medium rare porterhouse and ended up with a well done stake.
Telegraph is OK, at night it's pretty cramped and you'll probably get bumped, unless you want a table up the back in the dark! Toilet - yeah not good. But the line is short, the bouncers are better than the dreks at other bars in Hobart, and the food is great.it's just the Tele! It is what it is!
Distasteful and Dishonest! When our "Aussie" parmigiana meal wasn't served with the advertised "fried" egg, management shamefully lied saying it was "scrambled" with the cheese! Save your money and go elsewhere!
