One of my favorite stays in Tasmania!
Great facilities, awesome host and stunning setting. Lots of wildlife, great community atmosphere.
Traveling on motorbikes so driveway was a bit tricky but easily manageable and worth it!
Thanks for having us!

A serene accommodation at an affordable cost. A holiday accommodation is for rest, refresh and start again not only on a new day but for the rest of the year. The serenity brought by the nature and the ecosanity environment and facilities brings the calm, relaxed and the true me in me and back to me.

This is the only place I want to stay if ever I come back to Tasmania.

Had a great time at the Base Camp! Stayed their for 1 1/2 Month because of work in Granton and will never regret it. It’s definitely the best place to stay in the Hobart area, when you want to feel connected to the nature and have some rest. Steve and Alana are great hosts, always helpful and take good care for this place.

We had difficulties getting to the place due to a third party involved and the Basecamp team fully understand and gave us a refund. Super friendly and understanding.

Thanks Graham! I am a young woman travelling around Tasmania and this camp was my favourite so peaceful. Good memories, to wake up in front of the forest and mountains.

Go to this campsite must through B62 then C610 (blue route)not the 18 minutes gray route. The host is warmed and the surroundings are quiet and secluded with wild animals.

More than a campground, its an experience. All the way to reach the site, you slowly understand that its gonna be amazing and it is.
The owner Graham is lovely and very helpful. He will makes your trip confortable. Breakfeast are perfect and cheap. The shower and toilet are more than clean. Its a lovely place to rest, discover and reconnect with mother nature. I recommand obvisouly!

Graham from Base Camp Tasmania was welcoming, helpful and friendly, helping with all our needs and enquiries. BCT is a lovely campsite, not too flat but we had wheel ramps to help with that. At 5: 30 they feed the wildlife and invite you along. It was a great experience and I highly recommend anyone to stay there. All the buildings, common areas and cabins are beautiful designed and well maintained. We had a powered site for our van, and while the driveway was steep and a tight turn, it was well worth the effort for this great place.

TWE is more than accommodation. They offer transport to trail heads and logistic support as well as whole guided tours. Great service from Kevin and the team

Had a wonderful stay in the lodge. Unfortunately a tree came across the main road after strong winds during the night upon my departure and Graham & Carolyn were amazing in helping me get to my flight on time. I only wish I could have stayed longer. Delightful place and an amazing host. Will be recommending to all my friends and family.

Kevin saved our hike in Tasmania recently. We were going to cancel due to the fires, but he generously waived the cancellation periods for bus rides at either end, allowing us to get on the South Coast Track & have the option of flying out from Melaleuca. He also went out of his way to get our left luggage back to us & facilitate travel on return to Hobart. A generous operator & a good business to deal with. Well done Kevin.

Arranged shuttle drop-off at Scotts Peak Dam from Hobart and pickup at Cockle Creek back to Hobart - also arranged personal locator beacon, bag-hold and parks passes. Everything ran smoothly, on-time and as advertised.
