I did the Three Capes Walk with a group of friends last week and loved every minute of it - the scenery, the lodges, the food were all spectacular. Our guides Caz and Ishka made it a very special experience, along with lodge hosts Piper, John and Sara who were wonderful.

My friend and I departed on the signature 6 day Overland Track walk in May 2023. A life changing experience that was only made possible by the Tasmanian Walking Company. A huge thanks to the booking and logistics team who made the walk possible, to the amazing group of fellow walkers and a special heartfelt thanks to our amazing guides Lil, Fern and Maya. Their professionalism, care, passion and knowledge of the track was fantastic and I am deeply grateful.

This is an experience everyone should have on their life bucket list. 5/5 stars.

We recently completed Tasmania’s Overland Track under the guidance of Anna, Zoe & Aleks, and couldn’t rate the experience more highly. Our guides were informative, and eager to educate us on our surrounds and the area’s history. Food was delicious and abundant, and no dietary requirement was too difficult to accommodate, and that made what was an amazing journey, even more enjoyable. Facilities were comfortable without being over the top, and that just softened the edges of what was an otherwise challenging experience. Thank you TassieWalkingCo!

We have just returned from the 12 Apostles walk, and still on a high. This was our second walk with TWC, the first being the 3 Capes walk. This walk had a great blend of grassland forest walking and beach walking. Our guides Mel and Immy and Monica were all knowledgeable and friendly. The lodge accommodation was great. Already looking to see where we will go next.

I did the Tasman Long Weekend tour recently and regret to say that it was disappointing.

At almost $2000 for two nights and not quite three days worth, it lacked the ‘wow’ factor.

Whilst there was nothing overwhelmingly specific and wrong as such there were lots of little details that were lacking and I would think that as the tour is pitched at the premium end of the ‘ecperience’ market, there should be an emphasis on detail.

The booking process was terrible, so much so that I contacted their sales manager asking for help, however continued to receive inappropriate follow-up emails well after payment was made, whilst one of my friends couldn’t even get a response when she wanted to pay her money.

Our tour guides whilst very lovely and helpful people lacked knowledge and I was surprised to learn that there is no set ‘learning’ that guides need and as part of the job. In other similar tours that I have done, the guides have outstanding knowledge of the local area, history, flora, and fauna.

Finally, there was a whiff from the septic tank outside during our stay. Hardly what you expect when you are glamping.

Completely fabulous. The 12 Apostles walk was a wonderful experience. The guides, Mel, Immy and Monica really made this terrific. The walk itself is a mix of easy gentle walking and some more challenging times. The soft sand walk was harder than I imagined but very satisfying to complete. The accommodation is wonderful and the food is really good. We had a great time, saw lots of wallabies and birds. The walk finished with a helicopter ride over the Apostles and stunning coastline. Superb! Thanks Tasmanian Walking Company.

My wife and I did the Bay of Fires 3 night/4 day walk. It was a fabulous experience. Our guides were lovely. Grant, Imogen and Sam. We also met some really nice other people in our group and in the other groups. All the logistics were smooth and the food provided was really high quality and plentiful and same with the bubbles and vino. I’d probably swap the beer (Ducane pale ale) with something else or have perhaps another option like a Boags or some other lager.

I would thoroughly recommend this trip. We did it last week so late March/early April is a really good time of year to do it and we were blessed with really good weather.

Fantastic walk on the Tasman Long Weekend - spectacular scenery, great food and lovely guides, Frankie and Jodie, were knowledgable about local history, plants, geology as well as being great cooks. An adventure holiday with a touch of luxury.

We are fresh off the 3 Capes Adventure walk and I am on an absolute high! The scenery we hiked was breathtaking and the itinerary was top-notch, pulling in extra trails that aren’t part of the signature walk. It was really challenging for me with moderate fitness and a dodgy knee but knowing the guides had everything under control and were uber prepared for any contingency was reassuring. I wouldn’t contemplate a walk like this carrying all the gear so I’m so grateful this option exists. The luxe lodges were very comfortable (do take earplugs as the tents are noisy in high winds) and the catering was excellent.
Aside from the scenic wonders, the next highlight was the guides. Kelsey, Kate and Clinton were absolute legends. All three were super passionate, knowledgeable and friendly, working brilliantly as a team to deliver a memorable experience for all. A bonus to have found lovely people in our fellow hikers (our group totalled 13) and we enjoyed chats along the trail and over meals. This was an experience to last a lifetime and we highly recommend! Thank you, team TAS WLK CO!

We did the Signature Overland Track in late Oct 22 with Maya and Matilda. We also had a visiting rafting guide Isaac along for the ride, a welcome addition as with this tour I would otherwise have been the only male.

The weather for our walk was almost perfect, with clear skies for the first three days (peaks and lookouts), and then a little rain on the last three that both added to the atmosphere and also helped the waterfalls.

The walk is long with many undulating sections including a 600+m climb across the first day. While some sections are boardwalks, there is also mud, so take their packing and gear advice.

The food was really good, our dinners included Quinoa Salmon; Lamb Ragu and my favourite the Mushroom risotto. My favourite dessert the Creme Brûlée, though Isaac's chocolate birthday cake with Tim Tam's wasn't half bad either.

Late in the day one of the guides would proceed ahead providing hot scones, naan bread or cheese and crackers for when we arrived.

Huts were comfortable, warm and dry, with blankets that we put over the mattress, but under the sleeping bags provided. Hot showers and drying cupboard were also appreciated on wet days.

Really though, our great experience is attributable to the guides. Matilda, Maya and Isaac worked fantastically well together and with our tour group. Not just getting us through the track and well feed along the way, but adjusting pace, timings, side trips and commentary to the interests and abilities of the group.

For their efforts, care and attention we are extremely grateful. The Huts Walk is a great way to do the Overland Track and enjoy this amazing part of Tasmania.

As to the hazmat suit photo, waste is flown out, and on one day, they need to swap out the waste collection tanks. An interesting logistical exercise for which they have special attire to the amusement of the rest of our group.

Very disappointing. This Company showed no flexibility during the recent floods in Victoria. Given the number of naturals disaster in Australia in recent times, be very wary before booking with them. They showed no empathy and did not even consider allowing us to reschedule our walk. Furthermore they showed no level of customer service in our subsequent dealings with the. Poor form all round.

Fantastic company. My wife & I recently completed the 3 capes lodge walk. Our guide Bill was amazing, the knowledge of tasmanian plants, wildlife & history was outstanding. I highly recommend this company.

I cannot recommend this company and our fabulous guides highly enough. My husband and I just completed the three capes track and loved every minute. This organisation is professional, making it easy to complete an adventure that might seem daunting to a (fit!) 70 year old. Everything was considered, making it one of the most enjoyable hikes we have undertaken. But the guides are what truly made the trip work. Jimmy, Emily and the amazing Caroline (Kaz) where so caring, experienced, knowledgable and hard-working. They knew when to be close-by, but also when to allow us to walk in peace and tranquillity for a truly immersive experience. They respect the land, its history and the culture of first nation's people. They ensured we gained the most from our trek, but were also bathed in comfort at the lodges. A big shout-out to chef Jarred who provided exceptional catering (thanks for the plum almond cake recipe!). Thank you all again for sharing these four amazing days with us. We will never forget it.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about the Tassie Walking Company. Their communication and organisation prior to the trip was outstanding and very much needed for time-poor people. I did the Bruny Island Long Weekend with a couple of my best friends and I found the hiking, scenery, campsite and four course meals were incredible. The guides were knowledgeable and hard working and the business even transported my group back to the airport early on the final day to ensure we returned for a wedding that had been rescheduled the week before. Shucking fresh oysters straight from the waters of Cloudy Bay was a highlight.

We have just completed the six day Overland Track with TWC. Tasmania is beautiful and the untouched, rugged landscapes that we trekked through were spectacular BUT the extraordinary experience that we enjoyed could not have been achieved without the GUIDES. Linton and Brad. You guys (Yin & Yang) are amazing. You have the perfect personality to give everyone exactly what they need. It is a rare gift and it is, in my opinion, more important than the landscapes, though they, too, are awesome! Thank you both. I could not have done this without you.

Did the Three Capes walk. Guides (Gus, Theo and Lilly) were fantastic. Food excellent. Went in mid summer but weather very changeable. Need Tshirt and shorts for some days, full winter outfits for other days/nights including warm beanie. Walk is fairly challenging for a 55yr old! Amazing scenery.
