TAS Rural Supplies

My new go to animal supplies store now Animal Tuckerbox is no longer. On both visits this far have received good service, reasonable price, and had what I needed.
If they were to stock a basic good quality range of pet accessories, I could make this my sole animal supply shop easily.

Really surprised by all the 5 star reviews. I've had a shocking experience. I'd actually prefer to use Tas Rural (and gave them plenty of chances) out of convenience as they are close to my property. First issue I asked for a quote for about $8k worth of kit which was never sent to me despite speaking to the owner and asking several times and being promised he would send it through. The supplier asked them a couple of times too, but no luck. Very unreliable! So they lost that sale. A few months later I thought I'd give them another go, asked for a quote via email, I made it clear what I wanted, all listed in a table with embedded links to the manufacturers website to make it very clear. A quote came back within 2 days, things were looking positive, but they got the quote very wrong and not to mention quoted a premium price. I called them today and again they were hundreds of dollars more than other suppliers in Hobart.

Great staff, great range. Only problem is the only male staff member could be one of the rudest and most condescending staff members I've ever met. Took one star off purely because of him. Perhaps he could also try smiling every now and then.

I've always been able to find what I needed for electric fencing, they have a great range. All the crew are great, very helpful and know their products. Had to return a pair of Sloggers gumboots because they were a size too small, no problem at all with the return, and they ordered in the next size up right then.
I do wish they would improve their Web sites though. It would be good to see prices online, even if you had to sign up as a customer.

Good range of products and keep stock levels high.
Most staff are great but I must say that 1 male staff member (don't know his name) always tries to hard up sell me stuff I don't need. I find this frustrating because I know exactly what i want before I go in there. They loose a 1/2 star for that.and 1/2 a star for not budging on prices AT ALL!

Was returning a nose band for my partners horse. They have a great range of horse accessories and other rural needs.

Never, ever have I had such wonderful service, just can't give them enough stars, give it a visit folk, you will be amazed at the reasonable prices.

2nd time in 4 months they have sold me moldy horse hay.from the farm or not both round bails and square.wont be coming back here again rather go to sorell now!
