Tarkine Fresh Oysters

Never disappointed! This time had chouder, comes with 3 oysters of your choice, a prawn and delicious warm bread roll. A+ again.

The mini chowder combo is perfect for those who struggle to decide from a menu.
Arrived here by chance and very glad we did

We got a couple of dozen in the shell from there yesterday, I like shucking them myself. Bloody lovely, I devoured a few while getting them ready to do them Kilpatrick.

I'm very disappointed! Because oysters have no umami flavor. It's not delicious at all. No taste at all. Let's order another order of fries! This order of fries looks like it's all very short fries. I don't even think it's for sale. The quality is really not very good. I'm not coming back

Was told I could not eat in the cafe because I was ordering natural oysters.
Then told I could not buy lemon for my oysters order because it's for eat in only.
Not even joking.

Great service.very friendly.but most importantly great oysters done with 13 different flavours/ways. Highly recommend the tasting plate absolutely scrumptious. If you like oysters you will love this little gem of a place.

Quite pricey but food is yummy! Oysters were v fresh and we can opt for combination of fresh and baked version. Clam chowder soup is a must try. The set in this picture costs $25

Fresh oysters. You can dine in and take away from the store. Free car park is available. Staff are friendly. Must go place in Smithton.

If you are nearby do swing by. If not don’t need to drive all the way for oyster there are other oyster company in tassie!

Best oysters ever for such a low price of 20$, this deserves to be at the price of at least 80$ but for a 1/4 of the price it was incredible.

Best oysters in Tasmania and Australia. Seriously delicious. So plump and creamy with a true taste of the cleanest ocean water in this realm.

Fantastic must try chowder and oysters. If travelling around Tasmania make this one of the stops.

Customer service was excellent as well, everything clean and well maintained. A big thanks to the chef, she was incredibly helpful and a great cook!

Extremely disappointed with the service from this place. Both two tables (only two tables available to sit down in store) were being used, as one table was about to leave I asked the worker if we could take that table once they left and was told no because a it had been reserved, to which we understood and said we were happy with take away. The next couple who ordered were then seated at this table, to find out they were not the people with the reservation. I approached the worker to say we were told we could not sit, to which she said “they won’t be long”. It’s so disappointing to see that there are still places in this world with such disrespect! We would have gladly sat and been just as quick as that couple. I will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone in the future

Best oysters I have ever had in Australia. Fresh, tasty and creamy.
Got take away frozen Tarkine mix which were not as good as I expected but giving 5 stars for the fresh oysters.

The menu is great, oysters many way's. Had the natural oysters Yum!
Well worth a visit if you love oysters! Only a couple of indoor tables so book if eating in. Closes at 3pm.

Enormous and Fresh!

We ordered 2 half dozen samplers.

One sampler were cold and fresh with the variety of tomato salsa, smoked salmon, and cucumber topping.

One sampler was hot and cooked with the variety of a panko Rocky Point, bacon Kilpatrick, and a chilli bacon.

Both sets were delicious! Our son liked the panko, I loved the fresh with the tomato salsa, and my husband happily ate the bacon infused ones.

Couldn’t leave Smithton without trying the famous Tarkine Fresh Oysters!

Super fresh oysters, the cooked Kilpatrick and Rocky are also delicious. One of my favorites oyster restaurant in Tasmania.

Very fresh and sweet oysters. They are larger than the ones I had in any other states. Both the fresh ones and baked ones are tasty.
