Tamar House

This was our third stay at Tamar House. Denise and Charlie are perfect hosts. When you enter the beautifully appointed living and kitchen areas, adorned with fresh flowers from the surrounding gardens you are mesmerised by the stunning and ever changing views and colours of the Tamar River. This room has a fantastic balcony area where one can spend time relaxing and absorbing the vista of the surrounding countryside. The bedrooms and ensuites are extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are breakfast provisions which include fresh eggs from Denise’s hens. I can’t speak highly enough of Tamar House and hope to return for a fourth visit.

Denise is the most amazing and genuinely friendly host. The apartment was beautifully presented, very clean and had everything you could possibly want or need. Will definitely be back!

This was our second stay at Tamar House and once again we had a wonderful time. Denise is an extraordinary host and nothing is ever too much trouble. The house has everything and more, including beautiful views over the Tamar River. No doubt we will be back. Loved our time here

Wowsers. Tamar House.a home away from home.but dare I say.it could be even better than home! Our host, Denise, was an absolute delight to deal with and we just loved our few days at this gorgeous residence. Not many homes offer 4 big bedrooms and 4 ensuites with a great big open living, dining and kitchen that had everything! The deck area looking at the magnificent view is just instant calm and the garden and surrounds are beautiful. We really wanted for nothing, Tamar House thought of everything.from free range eggs, chook cuddles, bread and cereals, even beautiful flowers from the garden in our rooms and soooo squeaky clean! Just a fabulous location for us to do our wine tour with Prestige Tours too, awesome weekend, take us back already. Annual pilgrimage for sure, couldn’t rate more highly, thanks so much Denise from Jill, Annie, Silv & Deb

Denise the owner is so friendly and accommodating. Fresh farm eggs, fresh flowers, beautiful additives provided.

Phenomenal! Hands down the best place to stay in Launceston. We felt at home as soon as we walked in the door. Bedrooms have great beds, beautifully finished and spacious with modern full sized ensuites. Our host Denise went out of her way at every opportunity to make us welcome, she is absolutely lovely:) I HIGHLY recommend staying here. If there was an option beyond 5 stars I was give it. Thank you so much Denise, hope to see you again soon!

Tamar house was absolutely amazing. From the moment we got there, we were warmly greeted by Denise and her gorgeous dog Charlie. We instantly felt at home. She showed us around the house and we were really impressed at the effort she went to. Tons of local brochures, tea, coffee and milk, and a wheelbarrow full of timber for the fireplace. The bed was really comfy, shower was amazing, and the view spectacular. She brought over a gourmet breakfast for us in the morning and invited us to take fruit from their fruit trees. We couldn't rate this place more highly, and the hospitality was outstanding!

Tamar House is absolutely amazing, everything is perfect it is in a lovely location and has plenty of things to do in the nearby areas. Best place to stay in all of Tasmania absolutely stunning.

This place is amazing, Denise hasn't spared anything and is a house full of luxury. Extremely peaceful and quite, a great place to relax. I highly recommend staying here if you're in the area, vineyards, shopping centers are close by and it's only 20 minutes from Launceston.

AMAZING! It's a word we use a lot these days but in this case very appropriate. Denise is an extremely obliging hostess, not only does she provide suggestions for touring the area, but the breakfast included in the price sets one up for the day. On top of this when guests forget their belongings! She notifies them within 10mins of leaving her gorgeous homestead and then refuses to accept payment, in other words, goes above and beyond what is necessary to ensure her guests have an enjoyable stay. The view is to die for and I would advise anyone staying in this gorgeous part of the world to stay at Tamar House. I could continue to wax lyrical, however, suggest you just book the accomodation and enjoy the experiance fiir yourself.

What a beautiful, peaceful part of the world! Denise and Richard could not have been more delightful as hosts. The quality of the accommodation is nothing less than outstanding; stylish and scrupulously clean. Would we stay there again? In a flash. Next time we will be taking our friends!

We loved our 5 day stay at Tamar House, the perfect place to stay and a fantastic springboard into the Tamar regions many attractions. Many thanks to Denise and Richard for making us feel so welcome and for creating such a calm and peaceful place.

Amazing location with a stunning view of the Tamar river. Lovely and tidy accommodation run by very welcoming hosts. Situated close to Launceston and plenty of the best that the Tamar Valley has to offer.

Cant explain to the word how perfect it is for this place! We cannot judge the book from it covers but for here it was more than the picture.
The host, Denise, She was so nicely to us and very very helpful.
The house, itself contains a lot of happiness that we can feel how they want to present us from everything in the house. We never ever been in the softly bed like this before even in some 5stars hotel and it feels so comfortable! Really appreciated with a lovely breakfast as well! That was more than we were expected. Everything was so perfect in this house and we will not hesitate to come back!
