35We went to go in only to find that 2 consessions and a child was going to cost $74 thats very steep when on pensions
The air walk is incredible, I'm not a huge fan of heights but I enjoyed the walk (the views are worth it) the Huon pine walk is great with lots of information along the way.
The eagle hang-glider is great fun if that's your thing!
Certainly worh a visit if you're on the area
We came for the airwalk, but in our opinion the 2 other walks were the stars of the show (included in the entry price). The walk to the swinging bridges was beautiful, and we also really liked the Huon Pine walk - how it described all of the different trees that are native to the area, showing examples of each. We were late to join the Huon Pine guided tour at 1pm, but we imagine that could’ve been worth doing also. The guest centre and parts of the airwalk have free Wi-Fi available, however there is no mobile phone signal on site.
This is a must to do when in Tasmania. 600 metres of walking in the forest. All accessible for wheelchairs and those with walking disabilities. The cafe closes by 2.00 so remember. Incredible place.
This was well worth it. Reasonable pricing and stunning views. Even did the hang gliding flying fox which the whole family loved.
Long way to come and disappointing. The walks along the river are really nice, but the airwalk was a disappointment. A lot to pay for a canopy walk when there’s no canopy - The walk back down was more interesting for the ferns and fungi.
Highly recommend this on your visit to Tassie! Beautiful views, walks by the river, the suspension bridges and information about the 2019 bushfires. Definitely show your support to these guys, even the drive there is beautiful.
You definitely need to sit among the trees on the hang glider zip line and then walk above the trees to look out across the water and to the mountains beyond.
Absolutely excellent experience - both the air walk (and swinging bridges) and the eagle glider! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Really pretty place, lots of cool fungi and views. Only did the walk which took about 2 hours dordiling and taking lots of photos
Marvellous tree top walk! Incredible structure, MEN have built! Cantilever section is a bit scary: but a great view of river & mountains! I can't comprehend how MEN can climb [have the strength to climb & carry a chain saw] up an 80 metre tree to cut dangerous branches out of it. Friendly staff @ shop counter! I was astounded to see on a marker, how high the river came when it flooded: 8 metres @ least. Much higher than the bridge!
What an amazing place driving in made me cry seeing the logging signs that is has taken my life time to regenerate to the stage is at now lush growing trees and deep undergrowth.
As well as the bush that was burned in 2019 and they the gale that swept through part of forest.
But the joy I experienced with the regeneration especially the overview from the Airwalk and the updated information provided. I was not brave enough for the fatal error or swing bridges.
The river view was majestic.
Worth the drive and the time to walk within the paths and pause to admire nature in her cycles of growth death and regrowth.
This venue place is worth the time and investment of one's time and money. As a tree hugger, I still give this my tick of approval. The whole set blends in with the environment. They did not butcher the trees unnecessarily. The few they fell for safety reasons were left in place to become fertilizer to the growing ones. You could already see mushrooms growing on the floor.
Facilities in great condition. Sad to see the devastation that the fires left the area in. The lone pine walk was still really good.
Very relaxing amongst leaves and canopy. It will get better and better as the forest fully regenerates. Excellent investment in the future. No two trips will be the same.
Magical place. Well worth the drive in. So good to see what they have done with the repairs since the 2019 fires swept through the area and damaged much of the infrastructure. It was raining when we went, sometimes hard, but we still had an amazing time. Kids loved it
It must have been magnificent before the fires in 2019. Would have liked to seen some old photosof what it should have been. Pleasant other walks to do as well one with a swing brdge.
Great spot with very friendly, professional staff. We stayed at the cabins (compact, clean and everything you need) and we loved having the place almost to ourselves in the morning and evening. Well worth a visit!
Visited here 15 years ago and it was stunning. Sadly they had a bushfire through in 2019 which decimated much of the old forest. I understand the Airwalk had to close for 12 months but still feel the price is a little expensive for the current experience.
A unique experience. Plenty of activities from the air walk experience to the swinging bridges and cable hang gliding. We had a fantastic time. Then relaxed with a snack in the visitor center. You just have to allow enough time to do it all.
