Food was satisfactory but very pricey for nothing particularly special. However the wait staff left much to be desired. It was a busy night but a few of the staff would essentially ignore some of our groups simple requests. This reflects poorly on Tasmania in a popular tourism area.

The food was overprised, small servings with no real pub food on the menu. Staff wasn't very friendly and made us wait 20 min for the bill and wouldnt let us sit at a table as they start serving at 5: 30 even when we where 5min early. This place belongs on Kitchen Nightmares.

If you need a feed in Strahan this is seriously good. Not as pretentious as other places. Yes its pub grub but it is the best pub grub i have had for ages. My steak was cooked to perfection and the roast pork is to die for. Good friendly service and great value. A must do in Strahan.

I’d give zero stars if it were possible. After being grossly misled about initial wait times and being subject to more lengthy waiting to place our orders and then receive our entrés, we decided after 2h 10min that it was just not right that large groups of people who arrived well after us were getting their main courses while we sat waiting. When we advised that we were cancelling our meals and leaving, the waitress advised that our meals were suddenly ready! Miraculous coincidence if not for the fact that it sounded much like the other lies we had been told earlier to keep us around. No thanks. This hotel is clearly staffed by incompetents who have no clue what customer service actually is nor how to handle a legitimate customer complaint (Hint: Cop it sweet and apologise sincerely instead of trying to blame it on the kitchen). Let’s hope this customer experience isn’t a sign of things to come for the rest of our time in Strahan.

Fantastic food! Really well priced also. We had a steak and a schnitzel and both were fantastic, staff were super friendly and big portions sizes too! If you are looking for a meal is Strahan you can't go past this!

Well the bar maid was rude and arrogant, I would advise to avoid this place if possible, meals are over priced and poor quality @ $ 4.20 per oyster forget it. Go to 42S on the hill all you can eat $50 and the sea food is hands down the best I've had in Tasmania great staff great atmosphere 5 *****

Great tasting food and excellent service, but. It is on the pricey side with meals starting at $30, and the menu is orientated towards adults. Wouldn't recommend it for a family.

A nice little pub with good service. Pokies and tas keno there if that's what you like. Great views of the harbour
