Clean and pleasant rooms, sliding door lock needed repair, no tea towel until requested, clothes dryer not working. No sea view but pretty gardens. Staff member not welcoming.

Loved our stay. Swan cottage was great. Spacious with everything you need. Right in town on the main street but totally peaceful. Just a few steps from the beach

A great spot to stay whilst on a Tasmanian Road Trip. We stayed in Sherborne, Cottage number 5 and it was brilliant.

Huge TV, great amenities within the room, comfortable bed and amazing jacuzzi bathtub.

Fully recommend!

The spa suite was lovely. Clean and cosy! A lovely romantic night away! The suite comes with everything you need, and the bed was very comfortable. Not one complaint here! Will definitely come back again!

We stayed 2 night AUD 440.it is so so expensive.
Even 5 star hotel including breakfast AUD 399. BUT THIS COTTAGE DIDNT CLEANNING and no towel for second day.
I asked owner she told me are you need a towel?
I was really bad feeling.
I asked why not cleaning and don't change room towel.
She said to me because COVID 19.it is very convenient excuse. But no discount.
If not cleanning have to more cheaper price.
They nothing to do for customer. The bathroom door would not closed.
When the first day the bed it was had a brown hair.
The meaning didn't change bed sheet.
I feeling dirty very bad.
I saw a lot of nice place around in front of beach.
.
I really really wouldn't recommend this place.
.
The picture is different.
So poor quality.

Really nice and cozy cottages. They've got everything you need - fridge, washing machine, dryer, oven, toaster, iron press, tv and if you like you can cook your own food as well. Each cottage has its unique name.

I got the cherry cottage.

Great place to stay. Amazing breakfast. They have a very nice garden at the back. The Internet is slow but who cares.

Would definitely stay again, and for longer next time.

Ran out of hot water as soon as we poured half a spa bath. We went for a birthday so we were disappointed that we had to stay in another room bc the hot water simply shut off. Ended up paying extra to stay in another cottage which was fine. Overall not somewhere I would choose to stay for a night away. More so for work or something.

We loved our stay. Cottage was clean and cozy! We also appreciated the quietness; could not hear any other residents! Management was super friendly and helpful — we accidentally locked ourselves out in the evening.

Having worked in the public sector for 44 years, the first lesson I've learned is: "the customer is always right" even though you might think otherwise.
If reception doesn't want to take a call for a booking, set up a message bank. I felt like I was putting her out by booking. The garbled instructions I received over the phone when booking were not reiterated in the confirmation letter I was sent.
On arrival we found a key safe box at the cottage we booked but it didn't open with the code we received over the phone.
We then rang the reception twice before anyone answered (thinking at this point we were about to spend the night in our car). When the call was answered we were met with: "Oh, for goodness sake. What are you doing at your cottage: come to reception".
It astounds me, given the shortage of tourists due to COVID-19, we were treated like this.
Even though the beginning of our stay put a very bad taste in our mouthes, we couldn't fault the accommodation.

In view of the owner's response, I feel I have the right of reply to clarify errors:
- Having booked 6 days prior to our stay, we did explain that we would be late arriving;
- I reiterate there were no directions on the confirmation e-mail I received;
- As to the statement that we rang at 11: 15pm, phone call was made at 9: 39pm;
- To avoid all confusion, perhaps the owner may consider removing the key safe at the cottage we stayed at.

If you like to be treated "a pesci in faccia" as we say in Italian, the Swansea Cottages is the right place for you, otherwise you'd better book somewhere else.
Don't take me wrong: the accommodation is quiet, stylish and very well equipped.
When we rang for our booking we were treated as if they were doing us a favour: we thought perhaps she was just having a bad day.
When we arrived for our planned late check-in, we couldn't find any self check-in instructions in our confirmation e-mail nor any signs of where the reception was.
We then rang the reception and received the full "a pesci in faccia" treatment.
An experience like this puts a bad taste in your mouth and spoils the atmosphere of a weekend away.
The day after we discovered the sandwich board with the directions for the reception was hidden behind a bush.
Communication is non-existent: no instructions for late check-in no directions to arrive at the reception.
Honestly, for $200+ a night (breakfast not included) I would have expected a much better customer service support and no rude treatment at all.

By reading the owner's response, it looks like I have stayed at a different property: I believe it was called Swansea Cottages (see photo)

My partner and I have stayed here twice now in the past4 weeks.
We stayed in Kirby cottage which is a two bedroom self contained unit only a couple of hundred metres from the Bark Mill Tavern.

This was my second stay at Swansea Cottages and I’ll be back for a third.

The first time I stayed in a self contained cottage with a washing machine, which provided a comfortable respite from the elements and fresh clothes in between overnight hikes at Freycinet Peninsula & Maria Island. Borrowed Sister Act from their extensive DVD collection at reception. Talk about nostalgia!

Recently, I stayed in loft style spa suite and enjoyed the bubbly spa and a glass of Josef Chromy Pepik Pinot Noir (purchased nearby). The cottages and suites are very clean and have little thoughtful touches, like a fresh jug of milk poured on arrival. They’re close to the beach and town, perfect for an evening stroll to explore the seaside town.

I had a two night stay in a motel suite. Very well appointed clean and roomy. Quiet location and hosts very helpful. Easy walking distance to the township of Swansea. Would recommend to anyone.

It's very nice there. I've still given 5 stars.the hot plates on the stove weren't very good and we wanted to cook. Only one of the hot plates was really up to scratch. So made do. Other than that one issue really happy

Helpful lady on the reception desk. Lovely ensuite, large double bed and one single bed with clean white bedlinen.

Coffee, Tea, sugar and milk along with cutlery and crockery. Microwave, kettle and plunger coffee maker. However no kitchen sink which is unusual.

Split air conditioning system if needed.

Comfortable and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly reception upon arrival.great rooms, close to the beach for an early morning wallk. We had 3 comfortable, cosy night's here in a spa suite and the bed (and pillow) was so comfortable. Easy to sleep in and relax.
