Straight Up Coffee and Food reviews
77Fantastic Gluten Free cafe in Hobart. Service is outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. Watching people walk in and be greeted by their name is testament to the following and popularity of Straight Up. Their coffee is top notch, their GF doughnuts are next level. Delicious
This had very bad customer service. It was a scam and the food was very little for the amount paid. Please avoid this cafeteria as you will lose all your money for nothing.
Straight Up Coffee and Food in Hobart is a vegetarian gem that has won our hearts. Back in 2019, when I called Hobart home, this was my go-to for the best beans in town. Returning this year was a joy as the cafe was just as exceptional. Their food is delicious, and the service radiates warmth and friendliness. And oh, the coffee - it's nothing short of spectacular. A must-visit for any Hobart trip!
Delicious coffee. Awesome initiative to have the outdoor seating area in the parking space. Please make it permanent! Reclaim spaces for people!
Came here every morning during a short stay in Hobart and really enjoyed it. I tried 2 other well rated cafes on my first day, and this one ended up being my favourite.
The coffee was great, and I really enjoyed the menu. The soup of the day is fantastic on a cold morning.
Delicious fresh food, cosy environment, friendly staff + they sell sweets & fresh bread for my gluten free buddies that want more Yummm
A1 110% recommend! The Corn bread was so damn fluffy and perfect! Homemade relish, attention to detail and perfectlybgrilled halloumi!
This is the one for celiacs and vegos in hobart!
Food is great with the gluten free menu making our lives so much easier during on stay in Hobart. The coffee and homemade Chai were the best we experienced in Hobart
Love the peace of mind of a totally Gluten Free cafe. The menu is interesting, the food is divine and the atmosphere is charming. I only wish it was open for dinner too.
Very nice coffee place with delicious food (vegan and vegetarian available), service is quite fast, staff are friendly. Location is good, pretty central. Seating arrangements can be a little bit tight if going in a big group but still ok. I recommend
So lovely, friendly, perfect food and coffee and warmest, most sincere beautiful staff made me feel so comfortable. Thankyou Straight Up x
So delicious I didn't wait to take photo for you. I had the 'Madam' and was surprised by the zing of the avocado. Perfect blend of flavours and the right amount to have for a late-ish breakfast that I didn't need lunch:) Great friendly staff. Coffee was good and flavourful, but by gum - strong. They diluted it for me bless 'em. Melbournites would delight in their barista!
A busy Cafe with provisions for shade, view and yet in mid town. Kind and great service! And lovely healthy food.
Easy to find a seat, coffee was enjoyable.
Perfect spot if waiting for a Redline coach service.
Found this place while holidaying in Hobart, what a find! Came back every morning for brekky either take away or eat in. Such a dream to see an entire menu gluten free! Everything was delicious. The best GF bread I've EVER had. Service was great too. Super cute decor.
Good vegetarian, gluten free options.
Sugar-free chai was the highlight.
A bit crowded. I found it little bit overpriced. I had three cheese gluten-free jaffle for $16 nothing else on the side (just 3-4 super small pieces of onion pickle).
However the taste was amazing.
Next time I would choose something more filling.
The coffee wasn’t to my taste, very acidic
The cleanliness left a bit to be desired
I won’t return which is a shame because it used to be my go to cafe
Come here every day sometimes twice and sometimes even 3 times and get presented with juice and lovely smiles on entry without fail.i like how the large coffee cups are like bowls i really want one and back to the juice i love the juice dont ever stop selling it
Arrived about 130pm. Didn't have to wait for a table on a very nice Sunday afternoon. Ordered chickpea omelet, chili tofu on toast and vanilla waffle. The vanilla waffle was average but the omelet and the tofu were surprisingly good. Restaurant ambience was conducive for a relaxing Sunday. Service people were friendly even though they were busy. So, all of the above made me rate the outlet 5 stars.
Absolutely lovely 100% gluten free cafe that’s dedicated to keeping a safe eating establishment for people with Coeliac disease as well as other dietary requirements, the staff are wonderful friendly people who take pride in welcoming their customers to their cafe as we’ll as preparing good healthy food.:)
