Strahan Wilderness Lodge reviews
11 I have stayed in many and various types of accommodation throughout my life, from backpackers to 5 star places but never come across perfection!
I now have, courtesy of the Strahan Wilderness Lodge. It may not be for everyone, "old world charm" not being an instagram item, but there is nothing overlooked catering to guest here, spotless facilities, amazing property and.the best 2 nights of sleep I had for the last year.
Thank you!
My sister and I had the suite and it was lovely old world style room looking out onto the beautiful gardens. Beautiful quiet setting a little away from the town centre. We were. Wry happy with everything and would recommend thoroughly.
Lovely B+B- Superb location for us when holidaying around Tasmania using a hire car. Owner is very friendly and welcoming.
What a wonderful lodge.
Location and walk down to the waterfront is good.
He has a great BBQ setup.
Rooms and ensuite are good.
Absolutely lovely stay and hope to return. Beautiful spot overlooking strahan and the harbour.
Mod cons with an old world charm.
Great little lodge!
Never done a B&B before but these guys were great! Very caring and friendly. We had power issues night 1 and they happily moved us to a larger room as an apology for the inconvenience.
Stunning location, will definitely miss waking up to the view!
Going to miss my chickens too! I named them spotty and hei hei, they felt like my pets for 3 days.
Definately would return.
Great B&B, comfortable and lovely people. Nice walks and views and John's very helpful and what to see around Strahan.
A beautiful heritage house with a welcoming feel from owners Desma and John. It's a few minutes drive from town which makes it quiet and there are gorgeous views across the bay. We stayed in two rooms - first the studio with a comfy King sized bed, kitchenette and a lovely sitting room where we sat in pretty armchairs watching the fairy wrens play on the lawns in front of the stunning view. The second was a standard room which was still large and pretty, and then we used the communal lounge for making tea and coffee, and it also has also has stunning views, info and books about the local area and scrabble.
After driving from Hobart, on a cool drizzly day, John warmly welcomed us to the newly opened Studio Suite. A very large tastefully decorated room with a king bed and a separate sitting room with 2 very comfy refurnished vintage club chairs by the huge picture window, cosy spot for wine and cheese watching the fairy wrens and paddymelons graze in the late afternooon, looking back over the bay to Strahan, 2kms. Big garden to stroll and explore the 2 forest trails down to the bay and rustic deck overlooking the bay. Loved our 2 night stay here.
Very nice grounds to spend some time in. Very helpful owners. Nice breakfast. I would definitely stay again.
