16Really helped us out. We messed up our booking with the ferry and couldn't find anywhere to stay late at night. Luckily we found this place, Fifi was very accommodating and helpful. Absolutely stunning old building. Very comfortable, wish I had a bit more time there.
Super nice room! Beautiful, comfortable and clean! There is nothing wrong with it, I like it very much, I will come again! The owner is very friendly and polite, and the dog is so cute!
Beautifully presented and clean. The owners, Cliff and Fifi, were very friendly. Very close to town
We enjoyed a two night stay at this quaint B&B. We opted to pay for a country style cooked breakfast by Fifi which was absolutely lovely, and Cliff treated us to a walkthrough their small garden with the most delicious apples! Our room was right next to the front door so there was a bit of noise with other guests entering and exiting but it was expected as it’s a shared space, so not too bothersome.
Great place with pretty nice room. Nice property and friendly and helpful staff/owner. Only down side was the toilet was sharing.
Would recommend!
Fantastic place to stay. We had a cottage which was fitted out with EVERYTHING one would ever need. Owners were lovely.
A real, traditional bed and breakfast which was absolutely lovely. We had to leave early to get to the Spirit of Tasmania, so we didn’t get to experience breakfast, but the room was super comfy, with plenty of space, and the owners were really friendly, showing us to our room. Would definitely recommend.
Rooms are nice, shared bathroom with 5 other rooms, only 1 toilet and 1 shower. So had to wait nearly an hour to use toilet. No communal area so restricted to your room. Lovely owner on the plus side.
Have mixed feelings on how many stars to give this place.
On the plus side, the room was very comfortable and the hosts were excellent. If the accommodation wasn't a communal bathroom arrangement, then would have given it 5 starts.
So, let's talk about the bathroom arrangement.
There is one communal bathroom, shared between 5 guest rooms. Inside the bathroom, there is
- one shower stall/room, with lockable door.
- one toilet, with lockable door.
However, if somebody decides to use the bath, then nobody else can use the shower or toilet as the bath is located in the common area within the bathroom thus whoever is using the bath will need to lock the main bathroom door (and everybody else out).
Take the extra 6 minutes out of Devonport to stop in with Cliff and Fi. An absolutely beautiful couple who take your best interest very seriously.
It's a very homey and safe environment for all people, and they will give you great advice for things to do around the island.
My partner and I stayed only one night and we regret we couldn't stay the rest of the week. If you've had a long ride and been drenched by the Spirit of Tasmania or the Tassie rain, take in a brekky from the two the following morning.
Beautiful step back in time, cottages all deck out wooden carved 9ft ceilings plenty of room for whole family fully self contained fully furnished, beautiful serene gardens beautiful cast iron outdoor seating duck pond. Owners are fantastic great service defineately worth stay. I would recommend these cottages will please even the pickiest of people
Very Welcoming owners. Quaint and quirky cottage and lovely gardens, which were pleasant after a long day in the car.
The owners, the room and the food were fantastic. Fi & Cliff are lovely people and the linen was beautifully coordinated. Would stay many times with such lovely hosts.
The owners Fifi and Clliff were so accomendating they made you feel like family highly recommend a stay
A relaxing, tranquil, comfortable and wonderful place to stay. Beautiful grounds, beautiful food, beautiful weather but most of all the most beautiful host and hostess you could find ANYWHERE! Make it a must if you travel to Davenport Tasmania. Thanks Cliff & Fi
Lovely rooms and gardens. Have stayed twice now with my kids. The owners are friendly and welcoming.
