Stoney Rise Wine Company reviews
15Beautiful view, relaxed and friendly vibe, good wine and a fantastic cheese toastie! Welcoming for kids too - plenty of grass to run around and mats to sit on. Highly recommend.
Beautiful spot with a stunning tasting space. Great relaxed staff and benefit of picking your tasting selection.
Nice location and building, Belinda was very nice and welcoming.the older lady was just dismissive and couldn't have cared less.
It was cool and windy, we decided to sit inside, which didn't stop her leaving the glass door wide open. I had to get up 3 times to shut it. She obviously doesn't care. The snack platters were great, but the wine was sooo watery and nasty.
I always came across at least one wine at a tasting that was nice.not this time.
Oh my God, I wouldn't drink it again, if it was free. And for $90 a bottle, they must be dreaming!
I rather buy penfolds for that and know what I'm drinking.
It's a shame how some "winemakers" justify their prices, considering the product.
That, combined with the older ladies, smart remarks and attitude, warrants only one star.
Great experience. A beautiful view, stunning building, combined with great staff (Belinda) and lovely wine. Extra points for knowing the native wildlife, and showing us the Wedge-tail Eagles soaring above us. Combine it with a trip to Marion's down the road for a perfect day.
Only a group of 5 could not fix us in maybe you should say on your website bookings are essential very disappointed with your approach. Wouldn't know anything about your wines.
A truly special experience, fantastic wines, delicious food and a knowledgeable staff that didn’t take themselves too seriously. A memorable experience and one of the best days of our holiday at an idyllic location.
What a wonderful experience. The food and wine were simply decadent! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Lovely experience, wonderful, friendly and warm service. Amazing views and beautiful building. Had a great time and would recommend for a quick tasting/cheese platter!
Great wine selection.
Delicious cheese plate.
Stunning view and peaceful.
Highly recommended
Beautiful winery with gorgeous view. Our favourite was No Clothes - Pinot Noir.
The amenities are chic and modern. We really enjoyed our experience.
Lovely new building with gorgeous views and delicious wines. Enjoyed sitting outside by the fire while the kids ran around on the grass in front. Loved the Pinot noir while enjoying delicious snacks such as lemon sardines on toast, French onion dip and bresoala and caper berries. Highly recommended for an afternoon drop-in!
The single male at the cellar door seems fairly disinterested (might have had a big night). Felt like a waste of time being there really.
No one in tasting room had to phone and knock for attention. The guy serving was arrogant at best and shouldn’t be anywhere near the public. Don’t waste your time when there are stacks of great wineries in the region.
We accidentally found this spot by just following the winery sign. Me and my partner had pinoit noir & pinoit gris which both were great. It’s brand new facility, so we were lucky to visit it only 2 days after opening in late August 2020. La dauphin cheese is out of this world, simply amazing 100% worth a visit and paper beach for a walk after
Cheers,
Gedi
Lovely spot with gorgeous views. That Project X Pinot Noir is pretty special! Unfortunately the Chardonnay and Grüner Veltliner weren't open for tasting when we visited which was a shame as we would have loved to have tried these two. I think they were out of stock at the time.
