Stelo at Pierre's

Had a great meal at Stelo. Easy to book. Wonderful service. Lovely ambience. Plumpest oysters I’ve seen in ages. Seared tuna was a delight. Finished with a tiramisu.

I could wax lyrical about the service, the food, the wine, the atmosphere - for paragraphs but the best review I can leave is to say we make the 4 hour round trip from Hobart and book a hotel for the night just to eat here. World class!

Stelo was genuinely one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The food (particularly the focaccia bread and pumpkin arancini) was absolutely amazing! The staff were impeccable and very attentive. Plus the restaurant itself was stunning, cozy and had great music. I couldn't fault a thing.

I loved the scallops with the potato foam, the fettuccine and carrots! Wonderful experience here.

To conclude our Tasmanian adventure, our party of four made a last minute booking and were welcomed in.
We opted for the Chef's tasting menu with wine pairing and were highly impressed with every course.
The beef cheeks were a surprise, because who has this as their go to? It was tender and just fell apart in your mouth.
Special thanks to 'The Canadian' waiter, sorry I couldn't recall your name, but your service and rapport was excellent. I regret not leaving a larger tip, but I'd had a few wines and my better judgement may have been impaired.
Would go again!

3.5. We were the first to get to the restaurant but we saw a number of guests who were served before us. The oysters were lovely, as were the cocktails. We found the lamb wasn't very soft, especially given the fat content was fairly high. We had to send back the ravioli, as it was undercooked even for al Dante, some pieces bordered on crunchy. However, they did give us two cocktails on the house, which was very generous of them. The staff were very friendly and understanding. It was oppressively quiet. Overall, the restaurant was an attempt at upper-class nouveau dining, with the necessary presentation, prices and service, but lacked the culinary finesse of fine dining.

If I could give these guys 10 stars, I would.
I planned my partners surprise 30th here and they have been nothing far from exceptional! The service was excellent.
The staff was very helpful and made the night extra special. I cannot thank them enough. Everyone had a great time. Thank you so much guys!

Had the pleasure of dining here rather unexpectedly and from the moment we arrived it was a first class experience. Welcoming staff, absolutely amazing food, really nice atmosphere, great wines and simply the best carbonara I’ve ever tasted, anywhere. Highly recommended. Don’t leave Launceston without visiting Stelo…!

Came here for my wife's birthday and were really delighted with the menu. The food was absolutely sensational and the staff were brilliant. All round a wonderful dining experience. We even got a Birthday Candle!

My wife and I took our daughter and son in law out for a celebratory meal. The service was friendly.
I don't mind paying more for exquisite food, however the prices were excessive especially considering the quality of the meals and portion size. I ordered beef and it was so tough I couldn't chew through it! We were all quietly disappointed.

Had one of the best meals so far! Best customer service too! Spontaneous dinner decision on our first night in Launceston, and we are glad we went to Stelo at Pierre's. Just a pity we didn't room for dessert. From cocktails, entree and the mains, plus the enthusiastic personality and local knowledge of the Staff that assisted us (we were both hungry and excited we forgot to ask for her name) made our night enjoyable. Thanks so much! We will definitely be back.

Amazing food and wonderful customer service!
My partner and I are visiting from Melbourne, I found and booked here based on the Off Season program.
We initially arrived to find there had been a system mishap and our table wasn’t quite ready, but the staff were so accommodating and kind that it was no trouble at all to sit and enjoy a drink while we waited.
We chose the chefs tasting menu with a half pair of wine. All of the dishes were absolutely superb and the new season scallops turned two unsure scallop eaters into converts!
The wait staff were always friendly and informative about each course and the wine that matched it.
Special shout out to Alyssa/Alissa/Elissa for her amazing service and conversation. We felt so welcome and had an amazing first visit to Launceston!
