The bronze sculpture stands at an imposing five meters in height. It is worth a walk to the end of the pier, which also offers nice views of the ocean, you can also see the Spirit of Tasmania come by!

There is a car park and barbecue close by. The toilets were ok, the ladies I’m traveling with said they weren’t great but were manageable.

Nice place to eat your lunch while looking at the view easy parking with a clean public toilet and lots of green grass and tablets and benches.

Nice place to visit and watch the iconic Spirit of Tasmania sail in and out of Devonport. Nice statue and fishing platform but that's about all. Forms part of the general foreshore area wich is full of walks, green areas and car parks.

Very interesting showing the link we do have with the sea. Great vantage point to watch the Spirit of Tasmania arrive or depart Devonport

Nice landmark for our city. A nice location where you can watch our Spirit of Tasmania go through the heads.

Part of the Mersey River bike/walking track, it’s a great place to stop and see the SOT going out or arrive.

Nice place to watch the water, but not a lot of shelter. It is probably not a good cold or windy day activity.

There aren't many places on earth where you can be on a platform without security fencing and watch or photograph large Marine Vessels with tug support sailing a stone throw away. Most fantastic spot for ship photography. Shipspotter, s paradise! Don't miss this opportunity. Daily it will be Spirit of Tasmania or Searoad Mersey or perhaps Goliath, they are the regulars. During the past 7 years 176 different ships visited the Port of Devonport. Sailing past the statue, The Spirit of The Sea guarding the entrance of The Mersey River, the entrance to the Port.
