Best bar in hobart, Katie the bartender went above and beyond to make our night. We had no booking but she made our night amazing and she was very welcoming with drink suggestions, and stayed open late just for us.

Society is hands down the best cocktail, Gin and Whiskey bar in Hobart, incredible atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff and the best selection of local spirits you will find anywhere! Don’t be intimidated by it’s fancy looks, if you’re on the hunt for incredible drinks, dress code won’t be an issue and the vibe is laid back and fun! They also put on some amazing events frequently with great food offered for these nights! If you’re in Hobart head down to Salamanca and visit, you’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t!

We were very happy to find this gorgeous bar a little away from the Salamanca strip. Wonderful atmosphere and outstanding staff- Rachel is a legend! Amazing range of drinks. Go there!

Oct 2022: awesome little cocktail bar hidden away in plain sight, just up from Salamanca Place. Super friendly team and absolutely delicious cocktails! Finger food (tacos etc) are served at a reasonable cost and make sure you attend for entertainment nights such as drag bingo or trivia nights.

Great place, One of my go-to places! Love it here, the selection of drinks is amazing. Great set-up, the atmosphere is awesome and the vibes are on point. It's worth a visit.

Society recently hosted my work Christmas party - they provided an amazing charcuterie spread of cheeses, meats, sushi, dips, bread and fruit.
Society also have an incredible selection of spirits, cocktails and mocktails, plus the staff are super lovely, and ready to help with dietaries!

Will be back again soon - I think this is my new favourite bar!

This venue is a little gem. Lovely owner. Very knowledgable in their profession and a magnificent selection of Whiskeys. If you miss Society you have missed a very enjoyable drink… or two.

Footnote. The manager was amazing. Great personality and very, very helpful.

Good quality cocktails in an intimate space. Fast and friendly service. Can recommend the Giña Colada (pictured). Absolutely delicious!

An impressive selection of gins, whiskeys and spirits. It was quite hard to choose. Atmosphere was very noisy so difficult to have a conversation.

If you like espresso martini, definitely give tiramisu a go. It is too die for. Friendly staff. Mulled cider is pretty good too

You could easily walk past this place without seeing it, but you should definitely go in.
Lovely atmosphere and an absolutely huge range of spirits. It wasn’t too busy at the time so the bartender was making special requests. Loved it!

Great little bar just off the main drag of Salamanxa Place. Good selection of alcohol. Pleasant staff. I was there for a CD launch and the finger food was great. Couches and high table seating. Cosy.

Got a home delivery cocktail during the 2020 social distancing times (so the photos attached to this aren't the venue). It was fantastic! We would highly recommend everybody do this to support a local business in these difficult times. The venue itself has a great range and a classy vibe, and their huge range of spirits (check out the photos of their enormous wall) is great.
