Smugglers Rest

Enjoyed our stay at smugglers rest. Spacious unit with kitchen facilities. Clean tidy. Very cosy. Good value. Everything we needed. Dover is a great little town to visit. Great RSL club, coffee shop, pizza place.

Beds are extremely comfortable and atmosphere of the property and town is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely add this to your list on your next getaway. IGA and bottle shop down the road and property is right by the water and a close drive to the caves and thermal pool. The hosts are extremely accomodating and lovely which made our stay that much better. We travelled with our toddler and the property was very child friendly.

Thank you Irene! By random chance I was able to stay at this very quaint place next to the Dover Pier. Irene is definitely the hostess with the mostess and when I return it’ll be at smugglers rest for sure.

We arrived fairly late at about 8pm and the owner had the heater on and the whole unit was toasty warm which was so lovely after a long day travelling! Everything was clean and tidy inside and it was a fantastic night sleep. 100% recommend staying here

Great spot to stay, not far from the caves and thermal pool. Lovely welcome from the gracious host and a bottle of champagne as a gift for the birthday girl.

Comfortable accommodation in the beautiful, peaceful village of Dover. Our host is remarkable. The perfect getaway!

The hosts were very kind to us. We had our 90 year old mother with us. The heater had been put on so that when we arrived the unit was very warm. We were allocated a unit that did not have any steps and where we could park close by so my mother could access the unit easily. The unit was so clean and my mother really enjoyed her stay.
We would highly recommend Smugglers Rest.

Chris and Zac were incredible hosts and made our stay so lovely! This is located in a quiet and beautiful area and the apartments are clean and well taken care of! I didn’t want to leave, that’s how much I loved my stay! We will be back!

Great place, Great view, Needs a little bit or work on it's appearance from outside. The inside was great, a blue wall in the main room was weird.

Super friendly place to check into. Room was awesome, upgraded to water views. Lovely town, highly recommend.

The location was amazing, affordable, and service was great as well! They provided fishing rods, bikes, bait, provided so much to allow you to do so much during your stay! The only thing to improve could be a possible laminated note in your rooms of the Wi-fi password for convenience, other than that the rooms were clean, well organised and the scenery outside was amazing! The beach, pier for fishing and shops (IGA, BP etc) were very close (3 min drive approx), it's a gem of a spot and they are very lucky to be the owners of it:).
