Simmons Park reviews
41 It's a lovely park to go for all ages and has a few free to use BBQs.
There is also a nearby exercise area that has some built in equipment.
The toilet facilities are always clean and tidy. There is a large grass area for other activities.
Huge fenced in park with lots of equipment. Giant pendulum swing is probably the highlight. Toilets and exercise equipment nearby outside the fenced area. Multiple barbeques and shelters and table areas.
Simmons Park is a true treasure in our area. Whether you're looking for a place to connect with nature, enjoy quality time with family, or simply find a moment of peace, this park has it all. I highly recommend visiting Simmons Park to experience its charm firsthand.
Very friendly place with so may equipment for kids, next to the beach and jetty which you are able to see a lot of yachts stationing here.
Great fenced playground near the water and close to where we were staying. Great wheelchair access and parking. Toilets nearby are handy as well. Playground was made for younger and older kids.
Lovely park located near the water on Lindisfarne Bay providing an idyllic safe environ for children and adults alike. Simmonds Park has a great selection of play equipment for the kids and in additional is a great location for a picnic and/or barbecue with all the amenities in place to enjoy! Highly recommend!
Big array of equipment for all children. Seats and BBQ area as well. Enjoy thy view while your children play.
A nice green fenced playground. A few swings, two very small slides and some other equipment for older kids. Not much to do for the younger ones who can't walk yet.
Great park! Doesn't have heaps to do for kids in the 3-6 age group though, except for swings. There are two little baby slides and one giant one that is quite difficult to climb up to. Lots of shade though and lovely BBQ areas.
Simmons Park is one of the better parks in Hobart. Various playground equipment. The long slide with the rope climb to get to it stands out and is unique to playgrounds in Hobart.
The playground is fenced off yet the playground is quite spacious.
Three different BBQ spots available (one is just out of the playground area).
Toilets are quite near to the playground area.
The gardens are maintained exceptionally well and the shelters and toilets are maintained.
More trees for shade would be useful but our family did find a shady spot inside the playground area for a picnic.
I will take my family there again.
Great suburban park with enclosed children play area, public toilets and performance area. Close to shops if you need drinks or snacks. Fantastic lookout over the marina and up to the mountain.
A new find for me and I have lived in Hobart for 30 years! A stage, arena style seating on one side. Toilets. A kid's play area fenced off. Brilliant.
Since when is it OK to sit among in excess of 30+ rats in the children's gated area?
Shame on the council, shame!
Easily the most enjoyable playground on Hobart's eastern shore. Regularly very busy for kids birthdays, so don't expect a peaceful or quiet day on the play equipment
Great fenced area for the kids and plenty for them to do. BBQ areas are ok but would be even better if people we able to book in advance so no one misses out. Great for birthday parties.
Terrific park but a wind break attached to the eating area would enhance the family area enormously.
Great place to take kids great swings etc news only negative the slide is a bit high after climbing a rope ladder only suitable for older children
Nothing better than a Saturday at car racing, always a crowd n a place to get your adrennalin pumpin
One of the only parks on the eastern shore that is kept in a reasonable state.
Bit of a joke on Clarence city council of you compare to the river bend park in Launceston.
