Signal Station Brasserie reviews
67For my wife's birthday I wanted our day to he wonderful and special. We slept in and then went to the Signal Station for a combination breakfast / lunch. We could not have done better! The intimate setting, the incredibly breathtaking view, the service, the positive and welcoming attitude, and the extraordinarily scrumptious food left nothing to be desired. I could go on and on but suffice to say that in my / our estimation this experience was one of the best ever. Special thanks to Hamish and the crew for a very memorable moment in time.
The best restaurant I had in Tasmania. We ordered the seafood chowder soup, pizza, and the waffle. These dishes were amazing, full of elegant flavors and presentation. Also the views was a real plus here.
Food was great, with a stunning view however the “table service” was non existent with us waiting for 20 minutes to be served and the waiter walking past 5-6 times to service other tables, with us eventually ordering at the counter. This may have just been our experience as a couple behind us were served almost immediately upon seating.
I recently dined at Signal Station Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience. The smoked salmon and brie pizza, fajita, and crumbled calamari were all exceptionally delicious. Desserts were a perfect end to the meal. I would give it a 5-star rating for both the food and service
Stunning views, with beautiful food and great staff complimented with an awesome atmosphere
Fantastic view. Great location.
The lemon slice was the best thing my 89 year old mother had ever tasted.
Yesterday we eloped at The Signal Station and it was incredibly beautiful, intimate and so so special. We want to thank everyone for being so accommodating, moving our ceremony indoors when the weather was inclement, serving the most beautiful food, even our request for mulled cider (both alcoholic and nonalcoholic) were handed out for our guests. So amazing.we are so grateful and words cannot describe just how thankful we are. Special thanks to Rob for being super cruisy and for making us feel so calm, while also putting together such a wonderful evening! Cheers guys! Tara & Simon
Super friendly staff, quaint coffee shop, great views & yummy dessert menu. Well worth the visit while in Hobart.
The man who wearing yellow sweatshirt has horrible attitude! It’s terrible experience!
The worst day ever! Never come back again!
Consistently, the Signal Station Restaurant delivers tasty, healthy, and well-presented food. Their coffee is really good, and the Spinach and Corn waffles help you to start your day with some veggie portions! One of our favourite cafes for brekkie, and a great lookout spot too!
Spectacular view, great peaceful location and not far from Hobart CBD. It is definitely recommended place for breakfast before starting Hobart tour.
The only problem with this lovely cafe is the prices!
A slice of cake for around $16.00 is sheer robbery!
We were about to leave until we were told that we could share one serve of scones for $15.00 between us.
So we stayed and enjoyed very good scones, coffee, the view, and delightful staff.
I would love to see this cafe thrive, but fear that the unreasonable prices will discourage people from returning, or even staying in the first place.
You need to halve the price of the cakes and you'll develop a loyal following.
We came there on Sunday. The price is not worth for the food.
$18.50 for 1 slice of sourdough cut in half and 2 eggs is way too high.
The slow cook pork is not right, pork skin is supposed to be crackling but it was hard, meat was dried and hard as well in stead of juicy and soft. It seems not matching when it came with miso soup (taste like instant miso soup in supermarket). $28 is too high for that dish.
And we had the velvet cake as well. It looked good, taste good but was a bit dry and hard. I don't remember the price but it was around $16
Service was okay, the barista is not a morning person, didn't see his smile to us.
I would give a thump up for the man who work in the kitchen, he is very friendly and helpful
A lovely place to dine with a million dollar view. Food is top quality and the staff are extremely friendly. Thank you for the lovely experience.
Great staff providing a relaxed but professional service. The food was fantastic. My fish was delicious and the red velvet cake mouth wateringly good. And you get incredible views with all that.
Popped in for a coffee after taking in the views and had two of the most delicious cakes made by the chef in house. So happy to come across quality food. Did not take lunch but the menu looked fantastic.
A fantastic place to eat. Great service, atmosphere and amazing food. Would absolutely recommend it.
Very nice coffee and cheese cake. My daughter absolutely enjoy the strawberry milkshakes. Atmosphere as great, Customer service was fantastic and front house staff was very polite. Donot forget to eat if you visiting Mr Nelson. Definitely recommend this place.
Great location, amazing view, fabulous food. Service was quick and friendly. We were seated in a balcony area that had been enclosed with glass providing an amazing view over the water and mountains.
5 star experience all around.
My husband and I ordered lunch, ambience was lovely, but food very disappointing, and very over priced for the quality of food served.we both ordered fish, different dishes but both meals were not up to standard, fish was not as fresh as it should be and my fish was over cooked and hard. I did mention this to them when I was paying the bill, where my concerns were just dismissed.
Sadly def would not return or recommend this Cafe.
