Fantastic spa, deep tissue massage was great and had all day use of the pool, spa, steam room and sauna. The staff smile; are friendly and very professional. The price was good value for money and is a close walk from Argyle St carpark.

Gorgeous place, relaxing and beautiful services available. Massage therapists could use a bit of extra training and the spa was broken last time we were there.

Visited Savoy for a couples retreat.

Was a really nice experience, staff were super friendly and the massage was nice. Would recommend!

I used a few vouchers I had and decided to treat myself to a $300 baby moon bliss treatment, which included, full body massage and scrub, pedicure, head massage and facial. Would not recommend anyone to go. Staff member doing the treatment was genuinely lovely but in my experience with receiving massages, facials and pedicures, she was very poorly trained. It’s hard to describe but it was not a relaxing experience, the massage was terrible and I like a very firm massage but this was either painful, or just felt like I was having oil rubbed around in an unrhythmic manor. It was the worst massage I’ve ever had. After the scrub was much the same. Then I was left with a damp towel on my for the rest of the hour and a half. The pedicure has thumb prints in it from when I felt her test If it was dry. The head massage and facial were just down hill from there. I could feel extra product dripping down and around my neck.
Thankfully it wasn’t my money I was using because it would’ve been such a waste. Instead it was just a waste of my time.

I had a one hour treatment with massage and facial. The therapist, although lovely, in my opinion didn't appear to be well trained or was possibly inexperienced. I've had many massages at many spas and was surprised that a full body massage was attempted in a 30 minute time slot. It felt rushed and not very relaxing. The 30 minute facial was an improvement, it was a "custom" facial but there was no discussion about the products she was going to use, my skin or any concerns I have. Products used seemed to be too much or too little. The therapist also didn't leave the room when I disrobed. This wasn't a problem for me but definitely something that should be done for those that may be uncomfortable. Unfortunately I won't return and will see what else Hobart has to offer on my next visit.

Cheap place
Not the kind of spa where the atmosphere is warm, cocooning and relaxing. It makes the job but nothing fancy.
Cleanliness could be improved: heavy dust on the fan drains, brown limit above the water in the jacuzzi.
An eucalyptus smell in the steam room would be a +.

Last week I was on holidays in Hobart and decided to indulge myself with a treatment called "Detoxifying Green Tea Wrap" which was an absolutely beautiful experience. That included the green body scrub and wrap combining with essential oils and head massage. I was treated by Alena and she was fantastic. I felt so much relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you Alena! The reception staff was also great- friendly and accommodating. Thanks to everyone-)

What kind of policy is it? Gift vouchers doesn’t work on Sunday.

Voucher doesn’t have terms and conditions. Was buyer of voucher made aware that there are certain conditions?

The brochure said to arrive 15 minutes early in order to receive a comforting tea. No such tea existed and you have to wait in the foyer. The massage was good but no better than any other massage in Hobart. Not sure why a premium is charged here (double the average) as there’s no tea, dressing gown, shower or relaxing lounge.it’s a spa in name only. The receptionist appeared to be too busy and important to worry about guest comfort. Doubt I will return.

Not sure this place evens deserves a one based on my massage this week. Feeling completely ripped off! Felt like greasy rolling pin over my body. NO massage technique. Don't go.

April 2022. I booked a one hour remedial massage at the Savoy Baths several weeks in advance as booking availability was few and far between. I arrived and was greeted on time and courteously and allowed privacy to change and prepare. My massage therapist briefly discussed area's where I thought I required attention prior to commencing. She was absolutely wonderful. Finding spots and working out stubborn knots that I didn't realise were there. My shoulders were absolutely knotted and she literally went at them with some serious force. Yes, it was painful. But I also knew what I was getting myself into. They're not totally released, but they're on their way. The therapist noted that a good heat pack the next day would assist in relieving some of the aches, to which she was absolutely correct. A few days later and I'm feeling relaxed, both mentally and physically. Definitely booking in for another follow up treatment soon.

I love coming to Savoy Baths (I have been for many many years!). I love the facilities, staff and treatments are wonderful. It is also great they have now got a gender inclusive change room.

What I would love to see improve is the pool area, spas and sauna's become mobile free. I have seen selfies being taken in the pool (which I have tried to ignore), but last night I felt quite uncomfortable when the person next to me in the spa was on their phone. Friends Gym have now made their pool, spa and sauna area mobile free. Hope to see this soon for Savoy.

Absolutely Terrible - I do not recommend

We were visiting Hobart for my 50th Birthday and my hubby shouted me a massage at the Savoy. I was very excited as on the website it looked amazing - what a misrepresentation that is! I opted for a hot stone massage but when i got in the room it was a box and so hot. I told my therapist it is too hot for a hot stone massage, I will just have a "nice relaxing massage". Three times I had to ask her to back off with the pressure and the whole thing was agony and I didn't enjoy it one bit.

I contacted them three days later to tell them of my experience and how sore i was from the massage and of course it was the hotels fault for the air con and funny how the therapist denied being asked three times to back off.

The wouldn't give me a refund even though we had paid for a "hot stone" massage and offered me a credit even though they knew I was there on holidays - just so they can say they offered me something.

Do yourself a favour, don't go there! It is NOTHING like the photos on the website, the rooms are horrible and the staff lie to get themselves out of trouble.

I booked the Pure Spa Indulgence package ($295 for 2.5 hours of massage, body scrub and facial) and left feeling fairly disappointed and a bit ripped off. I have never booked a spa package before so I was really excited to go, especially as I'd heard great reviews about Savoy. The baths were nice, the change room was really small and with a few ladies in there at once it was quite crowded. A lightbulb blew aswell so we had to use our phone torches to have showers and get changed. I was also placed in a massage room that was right next to the pool, and so for 2.5 hours I was listening to the noises of people chatting on the pool area and the hallway door opening and closing noisily. At one point the hallway door was held open and two people had a really loud conversation right outside the massage room. My massage therapist did pause the massage to ask them to please be quiet however there was a sign in the door to say a massage was in progress. My two therapists were awesome though, however the experience as a whole makes me hesitant to go back.
