You would struggle to get a better located hotel in Hobart than Salamanca Wharf. 2 minutes from the markets, Battery Point up the stairs behind you, and the waterfront and city all within 10 minutes.
Rooms are big and bright and there’s everything you need for a long stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer.
The car stacker was great to use, and once explained a simple task, and so good to be able to just leave the car there for free and walk the city.
There’s a café in the foyer, but we preferred Salamanca Cream a few doors up, which had awesome coffee and pastries.
Service here was friendly and helpful, though the front desk was not staffed for much of the week.
There’s a superb, though pricey grocery story in Salamanca nearby.
Rooms were super quiet, and the bathroom was big and clean.
The one gripe is the almost total lack of closet space. There was a single, minuscule area for hanging clothes, which could only be reached by a basketballer with long arms – very bizarre.
Highly recommended for a longer stay with great access to everything you need.

Couldn’t be happier with our stay here. The pleasantness and kindness of the staff was a lovely surprise and as a frequent traveller to Hobart I will definitely be back. Thanks!

It is a nice hotel, clean and a good location. But it isn't 5 stars, very noise building can here other quests in stairwell and rooms above. Overall good experience but I wouldn't stay here again.

In the heart of the city with everything on our doorstep, great value for $$ with all amenities & finished off with a delicious breaky in the morning

Hotel is located in a great spot, close to lots of restaurants. Easy after hours entry. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Spa bath in room was great. Well stocked mini bar. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Great location, very comfy bed, bathroom amenities great - single spa, clothes washing m/c & dryer. Main lounge room bit spartan and no balcony. Definitely for bed only and plenty of nearby restaurants to dine.

Nicky at reception was a delight - welcoming and informative. The apartment is everything we expected, feels well built and appointed, and this is the first place I think I've ever stayed where the kitchen has a complete set of useful utensils, crockery and cookware.

Sensational hotel in the best location you can find. There is no better way to experience Hobart than to wake up with Salamanca Place and the harbour on your doorstep. The rooms are perfectly designed and work well for a business trip or weekend away

Close to restaurants, shops and Brook Street wharf, where the Mona ferry docks. Modern unfussy studio with kitchen and laundry. Car parking with lift available.

Really funky and modern rooms, very friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend anyone stay here when in Hobart. The only two things that could be improved are the comfort of the pillows, they’re a little too soft and don’t hold their shape.

The other is that you need to call an external security number to gain access to the building after hours, and strangely we were only given one key. For security purposes, I don’t think the hotel should print the room number and floor on the key card either - in case you lose it.

Overall, a great experience and I will be back.
