Salamanca Inn reviews
65 The owners, John and Phil are great people to work with.
The upgrades to the Churchill Function Room are fantastic. Well done!
Nice, clean, modern and great location. A family business that cares for your needs. The newly renovated restaurant has delicious meals and reasonable prices. We will be back.
An amazing experience at this wonderful hotel. The room is clean and spacious. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. Would definitely recommend.
Great location behind Salamanca Place. All staff we encountered were helpful, friendly and professional. Our apartment was spacious and perfect for our family. We'll be back!
Fantastic location! Parking on site. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The suite was very practical, and clean. Comfortable beds and baby facilities were provided. The view from our balcony was basic. Would stay here again.
Nice apartment style hotel in a great location. Close to Salamanca place and short stroll to Battery Point. 5 minutes to waterfront and 10 mins to CBD.
Clean well appointed room, friendly staff. Didn't try restaurant (too many other options close by) but room and menu looked ok. Small bar and swimming pool. Free onsite parking a bonus. Would definitely stay here again and recommend. Only negative was the room was above where the bottle bins were emptied early in the morning.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was large, quiet, very clean and very comcomfortable. We also enjoyed the comfort and relaxing atmosphere of the bar area where the cocktails were excellent. Only one small problem was that I couldn't find the electric jug because it was in a cupboard that wouldn't open.
Superb place. Cool rooms, awesome staff. Great pool. Centrally located. We loved it.
Thanks for a fab stayf
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and checkin and checkout were simple and quick. Checkout was also not until 11am which gave us more time in the morning. Our room was stylish, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was quiet. It also had great facilities if you wanted to use them. You step out the door of the Salamanca Inn and you’re at the markets, it’s a short walk to all the lovely restaurants and bars. We had a lovely time, would definitely stay again!
Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The restaurant food was beautiful, as well as the location is great for all the other restaurants around the area. Kids loved the swimming pool and off street parking made our stay hassle free.
Beds aren’t too comfy, can’t be picky after a long day tho. Pool closed due to corona virus which sucks. Struggled to fit in 3 kids but really enjoyed. Good cheap pricing and views aren’t the best. Great location! Right in the Center of Hobart so really good for shopping. Lovely staff.
Wow.
What a way to spend a Saturday in Hobart.
You will find so much in the one market.
From fresh fruits and vegetables, to really good coffee and hot bratwurst for breakfast.
From homewears to beautiful hats. It has it all. We had a great day.
Rooms were great, food for our event was good although the serving of the sandwiches made them dry out a little, overall though, quite good
Fantastic hotel, room large, modern and spotless, everything needed was there. Reception very helpful. Location is great for getting out and about in Hobart, cafés and bars just around the corner.
A great location to stay - especially on a Saturday when the Salamanca markets are on. We loved our stay, staff were very professional and the rooms were nice. The location is very central and we walked down to the waterfront for dinner every night. Lovely place, would definitely return.
Every Saturday is a farmer market. It has the annual Taste Tasmania in the last week of every year followed by yacht competition.
Very friendly staff, excellent house keeping, great location, building and room itself is a bit old but well maintained.
Perfect and convenient location to be in Salamanca on a quiet street with parking provided. It is easy to walk almost everywhere. They offer special pricing of $8.50 (or something similar) for the yoga/pilates classes held in the fitness centre across the road ("at The Studio"). I didn't get a chance to try the classes as I woke up late each day and then was out exploring all day. One suggestion is that I hope to see them replace their toiletries with reusable/refillable bottles to cut down on waste/plastic.
The Salamanca Inn was an amazing place to stay at while in Hobart. A short walk from Salamanca Place, Salamanca Square and the Hobart Waterfront, the location is fantastic. The rooms were very spacious, and the kitchen was useful. The pool was fantastic and the beds and lounges were comfortable. I only have a few criticisms -
- Shower was very hard to find a good temperature
- Breakfast was average, nothing special
- The walls didn't block out all the noise
- Rooms appeared slightly dated
- One lift broke down for a period, and the other lift couldn't cope with all the visitors to the hotel, only able to take up to 7 people at once.
But that's about the end of it.
Very, very nice place, would definitely stay here again.
Edit: In response to your request, I was staying with the Tournament of Minds NSW group (so I didn't really mind about the noise) in room 306 from Thurs 24th to Sun 27th inclusive.
