Rydges Hobart reviews
46What an amazing place to stay. The Rydges' team were wonderful - very helpful and obliging. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Our Manor King Room was very spacious and spotless. Heaps of on-site parking. Great location only a 20 min walk to the Hobart CBD.
Were on second floor of main hotel and there were no lifts so had to carry everything up the stairs. Room was very spacious but the shower drain was slow and the main shower would overflow due to this. Also, when the room was refreshed the tea bags were not replaced. Great position and quiet but just a few oddities.
Love the room and the environment. I was at 41. The room has a small lounge area separated by the toilet. The sofa at this lounge area can be opened up to a double bed for a 3rd or 4th person. Besides the usual appliances of iron, board, hairdryer kettle, there was a microwave for heating food. The wall heater is very effective to warm the room. We were there during winter.
Rydges North Hobart is a reasonable hotel choice. With large and comfortable historic rooms, friendly staff, and convenient location, it met my expectations. I enjoyed my stay. Great free parking and very helpful staff
Well placed, easy to get to, helpful staff, beautiful old main building, our room was basic but comfortable and clean in one if the newer sections
Service was excellent. Very friendly and obliging staff. Food was fantastic. Well presented, great quantity, tasty cuisine for dinner and breakfast is good value. Great views from restaurant over the city. It s a couple of kilometres to walk to Salamanka markets but doable. Cleanliness was good everywhere particularly in our room. Beds were comfy and room was very spacious. Enjoyed the heritage aspect of the hotel, gardens were nice too. Great parking, very close to cricket n Afl ground.
Great fast Wi-Fi, comfortable rooms with Minibar, lounge, sofa, nice lightning, clean and large bathroom, free on-site parking and bar / restaurant.
The bed mattress wasn’t that comfy and found it too soft; no free items in Minibar (was expecting a bottle of water at least) ;
Stayed three nights. If you want excellent customer service this is the place to be. I didn't get the names of all staff but they were all excellent. Bee, the receptionist was super helpful. Had the best ice cream with waffles at breakfast. Kids absolutely loved it.
It's an older building, so no lift but wasn't a problem for us as we had a ground floor room. Rooms are extra spacious which was a great plus with kids. Thank you for the experience Rydges Hobart, will visit again.
So amazing! Beautiful historic building with up to date 5 star service! Wonderful welcome even though we got in late! The room is divine with all amenities! Walk down the road and you are in the heart of buzzing Elizabeth Street.
We will definitely return!
Service from minute we got there and left coul not be better.great staff we had the best stay thank you marty
Fine service and clean spacious rooms.
Hotel of choice for my working visits to Hobart. Plentiful breakfast and lovely room. I what more do you need?
I have stayed here before when I come to Tassie and Rydges never disappointments.
From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff a very friendly and down to earth. I had an issue where my room was not serviced, I rang the front desk and within moments, I had fresh towels, bowls, and cutlery. Thank you.
I love the charm of the place, an older building with modern touches.
The room was big (Superior King Suite), the bed was so comfortable (I even own one) and the pillows were amazing. One thing I will mention, is I am not a fan of adding two single beds together to make a king, I can understand why they do this but found the middle part annoying.
The view from the room was amazing and the air con worked perfectly.
I love the spacious shower/toilet area and the "Thank You" products used (shower gel, soap, shampoo, and conditioner).
I love the location, close to the city.
I love the free parking that is provided.
Next time I will try the restaurant out.
I would highly recommend staying here and I would stay again.
Really lovely place to stay in Hobart. Has free parking unlike the hotels in the city so super convenient! Rooms were modern, spacious and clean. Very comfortable stay.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the room was comfortable, cosy comfy bed, close to everything a great base for a 6 day stay. The bar and restaurant was very nice sitting by the fireplace, lovely food. Would definitely recommend.
Rydges at North Hobart is an amazing historic building. Ask reception staff for more information in regards to the history. They will give you a print out if the full history timeline of the area.
Rooms are large, beds are comfy & bathroom is fantastic. Plenty of space in all areas. Located right next door to North Hobart oval. (Review is based in room 62).
Walking distance to Hobart CBD, plenty of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend.
Service, quality of accommodation and the evening meal was superb!
The king-size bed was soooo comfortable.
Would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a good nights sleep and it felt like a home away from home!
Warm, comfortable and spacious bedroom with seperate small sitting room.
Bed king size and extra comfortable.
Room service excellent. Great food.
All staff professional and friendly.
Great breakfast.
Quiet. No street noise.
Convenient to great bakeries, restaurants and deli.
Five minutes drive to the city.
Daily room service.
Perfectly clean.
The people here are amazing, went into lock down and they made sure we had everything we needed
Enjoyed our 3 night stay here! Room was very modern, clean and had the most comfortable bed! Only 5 minutes into town. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffees here and had lovely chats with Steve who worked on reception. Highly recommend if you want some where comfortable to stay for a few nights that won’t break the bank!
Food was super tasty!
Staff were nice!
The restaurant itself could do with a coat of paint to brighten the atmosphere, but overall it was nice.
