ROYAL THAI RESTAURANT reviews
45Super slow food serving. We waited for more than one hour before the main dishes were served. The food is so so and has very small portion compared to other Thai restaurants. Will never come back again.
We had a mix of meat and vegetarian meals. The Thai Arancini and Pork Belly Stir Fry were especially delicious.
The service was fabulous and very friendly. I have already recommended it to friends and will definitely go again in future.
What happened this isn't chicken larb what where is the mint? The chillies, the lime juice, the toasted rice? Why is it packed full of carrot larb is green not orange: (I'm sad now
My wife and I were walking back from town and just popped in on a whim because it looked very laid back, elegant, inviting but not crowded. We ordered pork Moo pad ped mamuang and vegetable green curry which arrived very quickly with lovely friendly service. Reasonably priced quality dining. Highly recommended.
Came for dinner. Service was prompt and friendly. The pad siew was so tasty. The spring rolls also extra tasty. I have few food intolerances so really appreciate that the menu is detailed.
The best Pad See Ew I have had in Australia. Service was also fantastic really friendly staff. Definitely recommend if you are in Hobart as a local business to support!
Their service is lovely. The staff took us in even though they were about to close in 15 mins. Had such amazing food!:)
Don’t know from where to start…. Had dinner with family on Sunday night at 5: 30 and was greeted very nicely by an Asian man. After that a pretty Chinese girl served us and to our surprise the dishes didn’t look like authentic Thai as we are regular Thai eaters. Chicken screwers, Tom Yum soup, Chilli Basil fried rice, Green curry, Cashew nut and Chilli Basil stir fry was what we ordered and it all was a disaster one after another, we didn’t complain as we were from Sydney and thought that will never be there again so not to spoil their business by writing negative review. Unfortunately, I have to as since Sunday night all members are terribly sick and cannot even breathe as they use vinegar in all their dishes instead of lemon. Chichen was stale and in vegetable mostly put onion and some Chinese Veges never seen before.
Lesson Learned, do not go to empty restaurants as they are empty for a reason.
Be aware everyone….
Tip to Chinese owners: Open a Chinese restaurant and you will do much better. God bless you.
Finally we we found a best place to dine in Hobart. Delicious food with great customer services. The best highlight is they are much concern about customer’s needs.
Great service, food amazing. Staff helpful and friendly. Try the prawn cakes, tom yum, curries and stirfrys. It was really tasty and filling
Dinner was delicious and the restaurant is lovely with Thai dresses and other decorations on the walls. Lots of choices where you don't have to have spicy. Would definitely recommend for a meal
My girlfriend and I went to have our dinner there. Service was excellent, and food was amazing. Pad Thai was perfect, flavour is unique. My girlfriend ordered a dried rice with pineapple, it was delicious. Both dishes were a good portion. We will come back for sure
The food is fantastic and the staff is positive, attentive and friendly. Really great dining experience!
We have been there 3 times and every time the food was consistent and very tasty. Great hospitality.
We decided to have our graduation dinner there for 25 people, it was definitely worth it. Food was great even though we all ordered ala carte. Definitely one of our favourite restaurants now.
Beautiful meal, fresh and tasty, and good decor. Staff were welcoming and explained menu options well. BYO wine if you need. Will definitely return.
Really overpriced ($30 for a main), and the food was very disappointing. Not terrible, but far from the best Thai food I've had. Easy to see why the restaurant was empty! Slow service too
Weird gimmick to have the food delivered by a robot.
So disappointing to ask for heat / chilli in the massman beef and its simply ignored. Very mild
Nice food and excellent service. It is fully licensed but you can take your own wine and pay $8 corkage which I found reasonable.
Loved the interior, food was amazing and service by Katie (robot) was really fancy! Must try Thai in the town! Little pricey but worth it
