Roosters Rest Holiday Accommodation

The family that runs it is super lovely! We felt super welcome and they gave us lots of tips for sight seeing. They also own a little restaurant in town. 100% worth checking that out too if you have the time, the food that we tried was delicious and all homemade.

We had 4 nights here with family over 2023 New year days and are very happy.
Was great to come inside first time and find tasty platter and many other food inside of the fridge.
Owners are very helpful, accommodation is clean and tidy, not out dated, has all you need for a short stay, maybe would be great to have a bbq option outside, as it has big outside area with dining table. Has fire pot, which was very handy waiting for the new year to come. 5/5 and thanks.

Clean, spacious, welcoming, amazing attention to detail and hospitality like we’ve never experienced! We could hardly believe the spread that was waiting for us when we walked in! Just amazing!

Everybody in my family was excited for different reasons. The fruit/cheese platter and breakfast, the peacocks and wildlife, the beautiful grounds, the airy light space with great facilities. You'll be lucky to stay here.

Wow! We had the Loft House amazing! Everything we could want was there - beautiful beds, a platter of goodies To greet us. Highly recommend this place and would love to stay there again - it would make a great base for exploring this area of North Tasmania. Thanks Vicki and John for a lovely, if short, stay.

This place has it all when we stayed there in 2015 Helen had the fridge stocked with bacon eggs milk fruit juice fresh bread and home made blueberrie muffins the cabin was spotless and her and Les made the best hosts I believe they have retired now and are living up in Albury but regardless me and di would recommend this place to anyone

What a great place, in a beautiful setting, spacious and modern! Huge breakfast supplied and what a lovely surprise to have a welcoming cheese platter on arrival! Awesome for couples and families.

It was beautiful when driving into the.property with lovely welcoming gardens, grounds and a cute dog called Rosie who came to greet before her human did. The cottage was cosy and accommodating. When opening the fridge there was a delious cheese platter waiting for us which we enjoyed sitting in a lovely garden setting. We order a fantastic seafood basket from Brewstone cafe which was delivered promptly, hot and certainly not disappointing. Thank fir having such lovely accommodation that not only made us very comfortable but our dog as well.

Great place to stay the host is friendly and helpful, also they go out of their way and give you that little bit extra when you stay, like when we arrived we got delivered a cheese platter. This is our second time here and we will definitely becoming back.

Our every need was met and more. Most reasonably priced and the best. When arrived early everything was ready we were given an amazing fruit, cheese, nuts platter. The cottage for 2 was maintained to a very high standard- linen, crockery, beds all A1. THe owners VIcky & John great hosts. We went on to stay at 3 other 5 star properties, all very good but never got close to Roosters rest. We stayed a week, weather was great in March, lovely walks, good beaches, friendly folks around. We would like to return, fabulous start to a good holiday. Well done VIcky & John. Joy & Leo

We loved our stay here. The beds were so comfortable and our hosts ensured everything was perfect! Breakfast was more than sufficient to feed our very hungry teen-agers! The cheese platter was an unexpected but appreciated surprise. Thank you for a fabulous stay. We will be back!

This place was really nice and cosy. The owner was very friendly and told us a lot about the nice places around town. I loved the accommodation it self. The internet was quite slow however because they recently put NBN in and it sucks.

Only 1 review (4.6) which only proves the old age saying you can't please everybody all the time and all though everyone is entitled the view her comments were unfounded - Roosters Rest was the best - just read every other review
