Robinson Cottage reviews
13 Awesome, comfortable cottages. The whole process on arrival was such a smooth, hassle free one.
The town is an awesome little place and the locals are nice and friendly too.
Last minute booking, done through the website with a booking code. $120 for the night.
Room 1 "Barwick Cottage" was tiny, but neat and clean. Leave larger bags in the car. Bathroom was lovely.
No milk with the tea and coffee set up.
HOWEVER!
Highlight was definitely the bed. At least a third of the slats were broken and the centre frame was literally propped up with bricks. SMS sent through to the proprietor with no response. An acknowledged would have been something. Spent the whole night waiting for the whole thing to collapse.
We ran away from an upcoming thunderstorm and ended up here in Oatland's Robinson Cottage for the night. Although facing directly out to main street it was very quiet (except for the roaring thunder of the storm).
Our apartment was completely equipped with everything you need for a hot shower and excellent coffee in the morning (from an traditional Italian Expresso Machine, high quality fresh coffee, fresh milk in the fridge).
The service at the counter of Inn next door was helpful and friendly, the evening whiskey served at the bar was top of the line Tasmanian.
What gem this place is.
One night here on a trip through Tassie, in Barwick Cottage, which is a cosy and quaint room with a modern bathroom. It was a very nice room with a comfortable bed and a spot to sit outside for my BYO breakfast (crockery and cutlery provided).
One of several lovely historic cottage accommodation fronting on to main road. The small frontage belies the size of rooms inside. Kitchen & bathroom are modern & functional. Entry to the cottage is by coded number, so no need to remember your key! Fully equipped kitchen. 2 bedrooms, bed clean & very comfortable with electric blanket. Had an evening meal in the local hotel, very tasty!
Loved the copious lavender & rosemary hedgerows in the street. So fragrant!
Cosy studio apartment in the heart of charming + historic Oatlands. Walking distance to so many town attractions. Older building but good amenities.
Microwave, toaster, kettle, bar fridge, lots of crockery, cutlery, utensils, knives, glassware, instant coffee, tea, milk, salt/pepper, fab espresso machine, beautifully renovated bathroom (great shower head!), very comfortable king bed.
I was in Barwick Cottage 1. You have a bathroom & bedroom. No cupboard for clothes. You get cutlery, crockery & microwave. I did booking over phone. Didn't meet the Mgr. He gives you code number for door. Nice rain shower. No room service on 2nd day. Find out what room service you'd get before going there! Only worth $110 per night: NO more!
Quaint little cottage. The door into the bathroom was very low and I had to consciously duck my head everytime I used it
Barwick Cottage is the former kitchen of Robinson Cottage, in the historic town of Oatlands. It is joined to the main cottage, and it is quite small. The bathroom is modern, the bed is comfortable. Microwave/bar fridge/jug/toaster/fan/mini ironing board/tv/basic crockery & cutlery. If you have large suitcases, you may have to leave them in the car.
Too small for a couple to stay in. Many maintenance issues that have been noted for some time by previous guests. Fridge so loud it wakes you up! Not impressed.
Very, very small room that is called a cottage, but is just a single room of the actual cottage. Cramped seating on uncomfortable chairs. Bathroom is excellent but does not match the decor of the rest of the building. Very poor air circulation. Bed is okay, but not terribly comfortable. The room was not serviced in three days. No wi-fi. Could not contact a member of staff. We felt that we were not at all important to the owner.
Tiny renovated historic cottage. Huge comfy bed fills most of the space with basic cooking amenities and table and chairs squeezed in. Fab reno b/room.
