River's Edge Wilderness Camping reviews
46Great spot. Swimming in the river, great sized camping sites, the food vans and wood fired pizzas are fantastic.
Very nice place, great for families especially for kids to ride bikes or swim in the river. Very clean and well looked after ground's and facilities. Will be back again to this one.
Lovely surrounds, well kept lawns, clean toilets and showers. Each camp site has a fire pot to use. Large camp sites. Dogs allowed. Well fitted campers kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, hot water, utensils etc. At night the cute little Native Quolls come racing around the campsites looking for food.
A great relaxing environment and a great place to look at echidna, s and platypus and pademelon, s
Nice place but road in probably the most corrugated in the state a real problem. The other problem is wasps millions of them solve these and would use again.
Beautiful place great for the kids,
Lots to do,
There was one annoyance the long drop toilet. Kids will not be able to bear the smell I suggest taking a porta loo
Love every time we go camping down there. Only thing is they may need to look in to doing something about the loos down there.
The place is well maintained, clean, fun and has a large number of campsites. They even have a daily rubbish pick up! It's a good site for kids of all ages, as well as adults. We are planning on going back in the next few weeks. Couldn't fault the place!
Stunning camp site. Immaculate facilities. Friendly staff! Only downside is having to pay for the showers. I wouldn't mind if they charged more but gave you a few tokens for the showers or something to keep them on a time limit. It's not very often I have coins ether, though this charging for showers seems a common thing for camp sites in Tasmania
Amazing camp park. Extra large sites, beautiful swimming river, great hosts.
Clean, friendly beautiful.
Had a great weekend at Rivers Edge, staff are lovely and they had great entertainment and food Vans available
The camp ground is amazing, facilities are great and owners/staff wonderful and helpful. It would be good if there was a dump point at camp grounds though.
Great spot, off the beaten track, well maintained and set up for families. Big sites caters for all types of camping. Powered spot near the river was very nice with a firepot. Dog friendly also. Toilets and showers cleaned daily. Would highly recommend. Unfortunately we couldn't pick the weather. Thats Tassie this time of year. Thanks
Awesome local family run business. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves.
We stayed here on a recent Tassie road trip. A fantastic park in a beautiful location. Our riverside site was amazing. Fire pits on most sites with firewood available to purchase and delivered to your site. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Very clean and well appointed amenities. Well worth a visit.
Fantastic place to stay with friends. Large sites to accommodate a few campers on 1 site especially Australia day weekend. Food/coffee vans were great & soft serve icecream van came around. Love staying here anytime not just celebratory times.
Great spot to camp, heaps of room in each allotment with facilities close by. The Russel river is great to swim in during summer and pets on leads, or under effective control, are welcome.
Limited phone reception but weekly live music (pick your nights for a quiet stay.).
Love this place.
Place, people is just amazing. No wards to describe. You just feel love and welcome. Management are lovely and always happy and helpful
Excellent place to stay. They pick up rubbish from site and deliver water and firewood if you need it. We planned to stay for 1 night but added another as it was so good
