15 It’s so easy to find a gem here! Great tip shop with good vibes. I got a coat and a cute vest in very good condition, and very happy with them!
Psst… There’s many nice clothes in the pile, you just have to take your time and be thorough! Good luck!
Best in all the state have been going for 20 years it’s definitely expensive now it’s dirty smelly but it’s the south Hobart vibe don’t go on weekends it’s packed and nothing goods left
Over priced timber and windows, same stock in window area week after week because of the price, timber prices are new retail not tip shop prices
Amazing place! So many goodies. Literally can find anything you want second-hand and also stuffs are very friendly. It has give away trolleys sitting outside and books cloths etc.are free to take.it s a place that encourages people to reuse recycle and have decapitalism lifestyle. Love it.
All tip shops are great and this one is easy to navigate and well sorted. The big selection of CDs, books and DVDs is a bonus. Now open 7 days
Not your typical tip shop. A lot more variety than others around Hobart. Especially if you are into electronics part. No other tip shops really sell those.
Tip shop in South Hobart is unmistakably the most exiting shop in our town!
We all visitors here coming for different reason-looking for something we are lacking in our houses. Probably furniture, crockery, cutlery etc, or for decoration for houses that please individual eyes, and would be different from usual "cookie cutter" shops!
Or collectors looking for the rare items. My pensioner friend looking for rear records, old music!
Another reason-we all want to save money for different reasons- one of them is travelling, seeing world!
Why then I put 4 stars- it seems to me that shop is a bit expensive.

Massively over priced, considering the contents is salvaged from landfill, i would recommend if they lowered their prices they would have a faster turnover rate of salvaged goods, this would bring in more profits & more customers, imo.
Friendly staff and always some hidden gems. Great resource for electrical and IT "unicorns" when you can't find a certain cable or part. Lots of books, clothes, collectables too.
Got some awesome bargains and the team were very helpful. Recommend checking out the tip shop and supporting this worker-owned business!
Great for a bargain. All secindhand sone in good condition others not so. Great for getting ideas to make things. Cheaper than a lot of the centres aroubd the state and the staff a lot friendlier.
Like all tipshop and op shops some days (and prices) are better than others in what you'll find. But reckon best stock of them all. Workers coop and not for profit too (ps that does not mean for loss either)
Whoah massive apology here guys, the original 2 star rating was a mistake so I am glad you contacted me. I have made sure I have amended this to a more appropriate rating based on my opinion. I actually spend quite a bit of time here and never leave without a hidden gem or two, the book section always keeps me occupied for longer than planned.
The staff have always done there best to assist me with any questions or issues I have and a bit of a casual chit chat too.
Sorry again about the mistake there guys.
You need to go and have a look here you can get some good bargains and they are at least willing to barter with you nice friendly staff
Been going here for 2 years. Great place for a huge variety of recycled clothing, hardware, books, DVDs, crockery, and much more
